Ive been editing video recently with Windows movie maker but im becoming increasingly impatient with it as it continually crashes. Does anyone know of another program worth using, preferably free but no essential. The needs to do the following: Read MPEG files, convert to WMV and insert watermarks/titles. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I assume its "easy" to get "full functionality"

send me a pm and i will advise what video editor to use ;)

I use premier pro 1.5 to do all my video and after fx as well. But you want something simple and ulead is good for non professionals.

Yeah depends how in depth you want it...go with Ulead for a basic but still very functional program.

You might as well get Premiere as well if you want to spend some time learning how to get the most out of it.
