Long time no see Pies Supporters!

I figured i haven't done anything for Pies supporters here for a while now, so i took the Camera down to today's training session!

Here's the results.

Three things i've learnt:
1) Swan's still a gun
2) Cloke still can't hit a barn door
3) Fasolo knows how to pick a winner! (see 1:20)

Enjoy ;):thumbsu:
I've said it before; you've got some talent mate - well done.
I loved near the end where Caff hit Clokey on the chest.
Reminded me that Caff has that ability.

Seriously the one thing that bugs me about Collingwood, this new media department all the friggin money & bragging, this video is probably the most content show on the Pies so far this season..

Pull your finger out LukeM......
That what my thread was about. We onle get a Few Photos and that is about it this Pre-Season.

100volt1 shows up for 1 training session. and does way more then our Media Department had done for a Pre-Season Training Session

I met up and had a coffee with luke the other day. I asked him about the content.

A few points

1. The media team have had some time off (which is compulsory) so they have been short staffed, but they are back on board now.

2. They worked really hard pre christmas and post stockpiling footage for docos etc. The players have also recently being doing their channel 7, afl and sponsors videos for the year so the media team has been busy co ordinating this. When i was there, the players were actually at channel 7 and luke had just returned. So there is actually a lot happening.

3. The media team is planning to build into the season. They felt carlton and stkilda for example went really hard pre christmas building themselves up, whereas we have purposely kept under the radar and will build the excitement up now. This week we have already begun to see more content.

4. It has also been a more steady pre season so its a case of no news is good news. The media team dont want to put out boring content with players saying how everyone is flying, best pre season etc. They want to put out meaningful content that is interesting and gives insight.

5. We are also not going to give too much away. Certain secrets need to stay in house.

I think we will see a lot more now

Thanks, very interesting.

If you speak to lukem again, can you ask him to either just name the player under the photos and not add silly comments like, 'kicks the ball', 'using weights' etc as in most cases the picture tells the story.

So they are saying Crows and Roo's just put Crap Video's Out? So Pre-Season is Top Secret?

So the Media Department has been Told by Higher Ups to be as quiet as Possible?

Lol no, no and no to your questions. Please dont paraphrase. ..

They just dont want to put uninformative fluff pieces and also they arent going to show too much of training and give too much away just yet

They just want the excitement to build as we get closer to the start of the season.

Sounds like a plan to me.
I'd happily swap not seeing anything on the website until the season starts for on-field success any day.

People have watched Hawks for 3 years straight know exactly how they play and yet here they are tripple premeirs...

If you are good enough showing a 3 minute highlight clip of a training session isn't going to do ANY damage to your season.

Agree with you - I'm not worried about that.
Was merely stating where my priorities lie.
