Ahh I get you, I was thinking of "wasn't a good looker" or so on, whereas you meant "was a bad person".

Seriously though, if she didn't want to do it, and he made one tape of it, completely in private, and then presented it to her alone, and gave her the option of destroying it if she didn't like it, wouldn't that be reasonable?

If he was serious (I'm sure he was fishing), his point that she might like it could be proven, at no embarrassment to her.

Ok then, to take it seriously, no, I don't think that is reasonable.

You see there is more than one element to the activity.

One thing that would obviously distress someone no end, would be if they're private / intimate actions were videotaped, and then made available to others to view. I'm sure few would question that THAT would be, at the very least, disconcerting.

But the other facet of this is the simple ction of performing the videotaping. It would be akin to knocking back a tinny midstream, or having one eye on the telly. Its adulterating the entire presiding factor of inter-partner relations of the sexual kind : open intimacy.

If you're doing something on the sly, at the same time, even if you plan to come clean about it later, you're degrading the act. Consensual sexual partners remove protection from their most vulnerable areas (I'm talking emotionally), because their partner has convinced them to the trust them. This is meant to be reciprocal.

By doing something concurrently, on the sly, you're not removing protection of your own vulnerable areas, and yet your partner is led to believe that you are, and hence they respond similarly. This is deception.

hence I don't approve of it. It should be discussed first. If both parties are all for it, then by all means, plaster your arses all over the front cover of a Dodgy Dinos special. But that's another story.

A mother's day present? Maybe I'm a bit conservative in my old age, but something seems seriously dysfunctional here.

Mobbs summed it up well. If anyone is serious about doing this, think again. The damage caused by such a breach of trust could be irreversible.

Do you think she'll say "Thank you for showing me the error of my prudish ways, let's invite my hot sister next time," ? This is the stuff of immature fantasy.

Unfortunately it takes most boys (and some girls) years to realise what an amazing thing respect and trust in an intimate relationship are; that it's not just about getting your end away. By that time the arrogant ones have destroyed several relationships and must battle to regain their own self-respect. The more circumspect people have been willing to accept that maybe they don't know it all and should be a bit more careful in their treatment of other people. The latter types make it through relatively unscathed and more easily accept the lessons that experience brings them.

It's not some old, prudish or 'square' attitude to think that breaching trust like this is a huge mistake. It's the attitude of experience. It's the attitude of a man.


And there's always a first time for someone to get nailed to the wall (legally speaking) for any number of reasons over something like this. I'm not a lwayer, but if a person can show hurt and embarrassment or loss of standing due to something like this I'm sure you'd only need a sympathetic judge who's out to set a precedent and the **** will hit the fan for any budding porno directors out there.
