Could not agree with you more DF. One thing I've noticed about McMahon this season is that defensively, he makes the right decision almost every time. He has that very under-rated ability of knowing when to leave his man and when to play tight. He is often the third or fourth man up in a contest and has the ability to get his fist on the ball every time.
I thought he was clearly BOG today. He set up so many scoring opportunities.
He always looks composed with the ball and, I agree, he'd be close to the best kick at the club.

I only wish we had three of him on the team: one in the backline, one in the middle and one across half-forward

I haven't seen the game yet but I am a massive fan of his work. He is fast becoming one of our most important players, and in all seriousness, a GUN.

Most clubs have tend to have that create back pocket player, but I think we've found one of the better ones in the league.

Would you swap him for Luke Hodge? :p

Someone made the Pratt comparison, good call.

On the Pratt comparison, it may be just that I haven't seen much of Pratt this year, can't remember just how good he has been in the past or the fact that he has been ravaged by injuries this year, but I really can't see where we can fit him in the pack-line. Maybe Wells across a half-back is just one one of those once off things that work (second game Vs Collingwood last year), but sticking Pratt in the back-line, along with Grima (193cm), Hansen (197cm), Gibson(189cm), Thompson (190cm) with possibly Firrito (190cm), and you are begninning to get a tiny bit top heavy.

Maybe its just me, but over the last couple of years, as Pratt has gained a bit more beef, he has lost a tiny bit the toe that has previously enabled him to effectively shut down the opposition's most dangerous small forwards. What do others think? Can Pratt be utilized more at centre bounces (vintage Arch 2004-2006) or are their other roles which suite him now with the inclusion of Grima McMahon and Thompson in the back-line?

Agreed. The guy has a good football brain..........a quality that should not be under-estimated.

having a great season and been a good pick up in anyones supercoach team. just the type of player we needed on the backline.

RB's best ever call - "will play less than 3 AFL games."
He's a very, very good player and is smart.
Nearly the highlight of the match was his huge spoil to Thomas, who chipped to Goldstein in the dying seconds of the third term for a crucial goal.
Pivotal moment in the game.
