I know trans people and none of them believe that. How many trans friends do you have to form that view?
Probably none that I am aware of. But I do know a lot of gay people who are pretty pissed off with the attitude that the trans community took with Martina and her saying that she wouldn't sleep with a pre-op trans woman!

I also do a lot of research and there is a militant trans group (read activists) in the US who thinks that because they are a trans woman, but still pre-op, that straight men should sleep with them... or pre-op identified as a lesbian who expects proper lesbians to sleep with them... despite still having a penis. If they want to keep their penis and sleep with women, then they are men... despite what they say!

People are allowed to live their lives how they want to... am example my cousin Maree just proposed to her partner Sally last week. It was lovely, they were up on Kossi where I was born she Maree popped the question. But... when people start trying to force their opinions on certain life aspects on me... trying to overpower my opinions on the same thing, whether it's religion, veganism, feminism, identity politics, or fascism, they will get severe push back.

We were talking about the rise of Nazis and other RWNJs. Hence my reference to them.

But sure, those murderous nutters too.

This is one thing that irks me in many discussions: talking about an issue, you bring up a relevant example. This gets the response "WHY DON'T YOU MENTION THE SOCIALISTS TOO?!?!"
As far as I am aware, there are no and haven't been any true socialist countries in the world. What people keep mistakenly calling socialist countries are usually communist countries or countries that elected what they thought was a socialist party to government... which turned out to be a dictatorship... a bit like the Nazis we all want to twat!

But there arent any actual nazis are there? There may be neo nazi / far right left thugs etc but not actual nazis.
Blair Cottrell... is on record saying that he wants to hang a picture of Hitler in every class room in Australia and give every child a copy of Mein Kampf. I think that actually qualifies as being a nazi. Fraser Anning would definitely be considered a nazi. He has already scapegoated the Muslims and called for a final solution for them. He says he supports Israel... but only because they are acting towards the Palestinians the way the nazis were acting towards them.

And please don't think that there is actually such a thing as the far left. What you see as the far left are actually idiots. They think that everyone should automatically fall down on their knees and worship their opinions, no matter how stupid those opinions are. But then again... to a fascist, everything left of their position is the far left. If you aren't with them, you're against them.

What... that I am willing to call a nazi a nazi instead of trying to be warm and fluffy and call him a "patriot".

I am vehemently against fascism, the right wing, and this attempted division of our society into us vs them. Australia is a nation built on immigration and every single immigrant that comes to Australia, eventually integrates into our society.

Not really
Some migrants return home after deciding Australia isnt for them and some never attempt to seriously integrate
I know someone who still has a English accent after many many decades in Australia she was 16 when she came out.
All her friends have various UK accents.
She never really realised she was Australian until her last trip back to the UK,its probably too late to let go of the accent now though.
They still integrated they just did it their way.

My friends father doesnt speak more than a handful of English words,he has been here since the 50s,he spent his working life with Greeks at GMH, doing night shift ,he loves a punt, loves AFL and considers himself an Australian.
To an outsider looking in you would say he hasnt integrated ,he has in his way

If migrants go home, then they aren't really migrants are they? They are people who come out here on an extended holiday.

Now... I don't know whether you know it, but this is how integration actually works for immigrants.
Generation 1: The original immigrants. Probably in their 20s or 30s... they may be married and they might have kids already. They come out to Australia, learn a bit of English (at least he does, mama never does really), they are proud to be new Australians. They tend to congregate into communities where people are from their old country.
Generation 2: The kids who are born here. They learn their parents native language at home, then go to school and learn English (If they come from a non-English heritage). Have some of the old culture in their blood, but proud to be Australian. They usually marry a first or second generation immigrant and then speak mostly English in their home! They may or may not end up living in the same area as their parents.
Generation 3: The kids kids. Learn English at home... learn enough of their grandparents language to understand them when they say something. They are purely Australian... cannot understand any of their grandparents culture at all. When they get married, they will end up moving well away from the community where their grandparents and maybe their parents live.

So... roughly 50 years from the time when the first immigrants arrived, the family is finally integrated into Australia. The Afghans who came out to Australia back in the 1800s to help build the north/south telegraph, their great grand kids are 100% Australian now. The Chinese who came out during the Victorian gold rush... their great grand kids are also 100% Aussie now. The displaced people who immigrated to Australia after the first and second world wars. Their grand kids are Australians now.

And I have yet to see a first generation immigrant who hasn't tried to fit in by working hard, raising their kids, and paying their bills and taxes.

However, just recently... I have seen Rupert's rags spreading all sorts of bullshit about people of the Islamic faith or people of African descent. And I have seen bugger all from Rupert's rags about the rise of right wing nationalism parading around as patriotism. Dressing up your racism and right wing ideologies as patriotism just makes you a bigger wanker than you really are!

If you emigrate here you are a migrant. What you do after that doesnt change the fact you were a migrant.

Some migrants dont like it here and return to their country of origin or somewhere else.

Some migrants never fully integrate. What their children do doesnt discount that they didnt integrate

Not sure why you find such things controversial

The mix of migrants to Australia has long surpassed just being white.
His point was, why arent you running around in the bush, converting to the Dreamtime stories, speaking a native language and playing the Didgereedoo?

It's always hillarious to see non Aboriginal Autralians sooking about other people 'coming here' and not conforming to the local norms. They then invariably argue that those people from overseas should piss off home.

Aboriginal Australians are looking on going 'Come again?'

That the total hypocricy of such view is lost on the Right wingers that express these views never ceases to amaze me.

The two of you have gone off on a self fulfilling tangent that doesnt relate to what I said; so its all very good the two of you making your virtue signalling statements... but it means what in relation to my point?

**** off with that 'virtue signalling' bullshit.

I was making a point about the hypocrisy of right wing nutjobs. There is no virtue signalling about it.

The main cultural influence on society has long been British / European.

Most certainly NOT aboriginal

Your argument is so devoid of logic even the Guardian would struggle to endorse it.
