All these playrrs would grow legs at any other club.
Not Hardwicks fault either.
The same thing has happened with every coach .
We build up,play a few years of finals then just can not go that extra step.
We could have Ferguson,Mourinjo even Clarko would find Richmond a completely tougher job than the safety net of Hawthorn.
The players are content with playing to a certain level and not the ultimate level.
It takes a club to be ultra seriuos to get that fa

I got to love the kids aggression though and the first season he played his natural game and I thought he'd be a gun inside midfielder for us in the mold of a Sewell type.

A few were talking up his game last week but I thought he was terrible for 2 quarters and OK for 2 last week.

This week - terrible for 4 quarters.

Doesn't look confident.

Maybe the coaches has not instilled any self belief in him at all.

We have talent. They just lack clarity of A game plan and direction. This has them bound up like a knot. They need to have there minds freed up from whatever messages the coaches are giving them. It's probably to much information! Keep it simple.

It's exactly like the end of Frawley and Wallace....they are low on confidence and need a new approach from a new coach.

All this crap about he hasn't got a tank......it may well be true. But what's the best way to get fit? Get in the guts and run until you can't run.

Hardwick appears to have a linear football mind where he thinks in 3.4 years given X amount of training player X will be ready for position X.

That's not how football works. Players develop and take on responsibility in different manners and different trajectorys. Vlaustin is a footballer. Let him play football where his strengths of hard inside body, competitive animal, gutsy and a penetrating kick can make a difference.

His numbers are actually up a bit on last year , much closer to 20p average than the 14/15 ly , he s least of our probs
