Charman wasn't playing his best football when Voss and Akermanis were so it's pointless to include him.
If you were doing that, you could create a midfield who played for the one team over a matter of eras which would be better than both Brisbane's from 00-04 and West Coast's from 05-07+.
In terms of the comparison, Cox makes the WCE midfield such a dominant force. But Crackers Keating did what was needed in the Brisbane midfield. The 3 on 3 comparison is very hard to judge. I can't say i've seen a better 5 than the Fab 5 of Voss, Akermanis, Black, Lappin, and Power. I'm biased of course - we all are. But West Coast don't have another 2 midfielders that could challenge Power and Lappin.
And I agree that Lappin was better than Akermanis, but for that idiot that suggested Aker wasn't in the same class as the others - clueless. Maybe consider more than 2 matches when making your decision. Akermanis was the biggest match-winner of the lot, Judd included.
