News Voss contract not renewed

2 years between working at the Club and being eligable to join the Board.

2016 looks pretty good

Just finished watching the interview, can you imagine how Voss would have gone with Lethal on the Board? We'd have a bit more silverware I imagine...

Since Roos went to Melbourne I have been happy we didn't sign him for two reasons:

1: Doesn't want to coach for any more than 3 years.
2: His obsession with doing everything the Sydney way to the point I think the Melbourne board have to get a Swans assistant as his replacement.

Wasn't it his intention to bring in Stewart Dew for that very purpose, but Sydney weren't willing to release him, or something along those lines.

I think we did, in hindsight, avoid one disaster by not getting Roos. Not because he can't coach but more because his heart would have never been in it.

It would have been about the pay check for him if he came to Brisbane for a couple of seasons.

Of course avoiding that disaster led us to another disaster with Voss gone and a board in disarray.

It has been a tough time in our history. But only a small part of our history. Our worst moments don't define us.

Yeah, pretty obvious that Roos had no interest in Brisbane but was happy to use our interest to leverage a bigger deal from the Demons.

Roos's greed may have cost Vossy his job...

On a lighter note, for anyone who saw the interview:

• How brutal was Vossy's bump on Alan Richardson (Bears vs. Pies at the Gabba, not sure what year)? It wouldn't even be a free kick then, but it has got to be one of the biggest bumps of all time.

Excuse my intrusion...

Just watched Open Mike with Mr. Voss, and man, this bump is up there with some of the best ever footage. The fact that Dipper and Wally had ringside seats amplifies the moment x 1000. Dipper had a rush of blood, and it looked like Wally said "Awesome"...

What a team you had there, loved the way they played, such a tough united side. I class Geelong as "boring good", Lions really "played the game as it should be played".

Lastly, before I slink back the the Hawks board, I've posted here before about your jumper, and the disrespect committed upon it, seen right now vs Port. Am very happy to hear it's out next year, and I hope the clowns that made the decision are exposed and held forever accountable.

I finally caught up with Open Mike. I will always have the highest respect for M. Voss. He always has honesty and class. I did have a laugh about his father knocking back the offer from Collingwood. $100,000 a year when you are in grade 11. That's not bad money! One day Lethal and Vossy will team up again for Brisbane. Whatever capacity that is I dream of that day.

Interesting was that Polec actually got along pretty well Voss and was still in contact with him over the off season as reported down here in SA. I wonder if Voss getting sacked was the final straw for Polec

Polec wanted to go home from all reports, his final year with us was always going to be just that, Miranda Kerr could have been appointed coach and it would'nt have mattered, he was never going to stay no matter who the coach was.
