Voss the senior coach

Voss wants to be a senior coach, possibily as early as next season (The Age 17/5). Would you take him at your club next season in that role.

Obviously don't vote if your coach is obviously going nowhere. I.E Roos, Matthews etc.

a lot of people are saying he wants to coach the blues, or should be the coach of the blues next year. i tend to disagree with that - i think an inexperienced coach mentoring an inexperienced list would be an extraordinary disaster.

Tough call, I think one day he'll be a brilliant coach but he may need a bit of a run as an assistant. Then again Sheeds stepped up 2 years after retirement and it was the greatest call Essendon ever did in regards to coaching, if anyone could step up and lead the kids straight away Vossy could for sure.

So yes I would take a punt on him just for the fact we may not get another chance of grabbing him before someone else.

I really admire and respect Vossy for the footballer he was, but I dunno if he would turn out to be a successful coach.
On channel 10 in regards to tactics and special comments he tends to babble on a la Robert Walls. His comments are predictable and hardly insightful. I hope this is just channel 10 telling him to try and call the game because it makes him look a bit silly.
That being said I would give him a trial as an assistant coach first to see if he can provide some new ideas and tactics. He is obviously under more pressure when talking football in front of a camera.
