3 - Hille - very good game

2 - Hird - unbelievable

1 - NLM - defitely made u cringe at times but I think his best game for the club

Hon mentions - McVeigh, Watson, Monfries, Heff

- What was with MJ's kicking?
- Did Dyson get limited game time or did he just not get involved?
- Solly? Has the game passed him by? Can he go forward?
- Welsh. Can he play on?
- Why did we have nobody in our goalsquare?
- Why did we leave Clement free to roam around and do what he wants?
- I think McPhee worked on Tarrant and Fletch was good on Rocca
- Keps was damaging in the beginning at CHF. I think thats where he should play all year rotating with Lucas in the goalsquare or on the ball. His not a backman and hopefully Lee or Henno can come back and fill that spot.
- Why did they have to take Lloyd from us. Why?
- Why are we able to play pefect for the first 10 minutes of the game, tackle hard, get numbers to the ball, run the lines but then drop off. It's happened every week so far. Are we not fit enough?
- What happened to the double huddle at the kick ins from last week?
- Rioli, was good with what he did, but is his best behind him? His almost a liability at this stage
- I'm worried about this season. I'm as one-eyed a supporter as anyone else but I think we may struggle to win 8 games this year without a key forward and I think there are a lot of teams who are better than Collingwood, especially in the midfield
- Can't fault the players for lack of endeavour, they have fought hard every game
- I'm sad.... I hate losing to Collingwood even if it is expected

3. Hille - again excites us when rucks against nobody, lets hope he carries this form against Spider on Sunday.
2. Watson - great game, again in and under everywhere. Disposal by foot a real ?, I guess thats why he hardly does it!
1. Hird. Didnt have huge stats, but just imposed himself on the game beautifully. Started a bit rusty, but worked his way into the game.

Special mentions:
NLM: I think sometimes we get swept up in numbers. Yes, played well, got a lot of it, but REALLY let us down with some undiscipled things and horrible turnovers. Watching the replay with no emotion, he did his best to keep Collingwood in touch in that first quarter. Horrible clanger by foot to give Clement his goal, horribly clumsly tackle on didak on AFL members wing which was a dead ball situation with the momentum with us. Dropped a couple absolute sitters freezing our rebound. Dropped some handball recieves when we were nearly on our way. Maybe Im being a bit harsh, but I wasnt as wrapt up in his game as others seemed to be.

Stanton: Good game by the kid. Probably his best of the year thus far. Could have kicked a couple on the run from the arc which may have had him feature in votes.

Fletch. Very Solid.
NLM cannot take the full blame for your poor skills. Hird and especially Fletcher were probably worse than NLM as far as skills go.

Hird and Fletcher won't go under the radar. Hird has already taken full responsibility on himself for the loss.

However, NLM is a repeat offender. Hird and Fletcher aren't.

No he shouldnt, and he hasnt. I was simply highlighting the fact I didnt think he was the BOG many thought he was.

Hird and Fletch did have a couple shockers...but NLM had about half a dozen (at least, at the top of my head) howlers on the day.

I think Welsh is a major worry.
Not imposing enough. Not tall enough. Struggles, seriously, against good opposition. Solly... get your mind right fella.

Must getting back to our winning ways next week. Realistically, we are not too far away...playing very good footy, largely against slightly better oppostion. It is a fair yardstick to where we are at in season 06. Sadly, it has a smell of 05 about it.

grr.

I thought Welsh played easily his best game for the season, I too was worried about his impact on games and his toughness, but personally I thought he was a very solid contributor.

Loved Heff's game, quiet second half but thought he was important early in the first half.

Agreed with Longy about McVeigh and his disposal, but at least he didn't go missing like he often does. He is a great kick and if he can find the ball as often as he did on Tuesday, then there won't be many other games where he'll kick as poorly as he did.

Don't think Hird was close to our best really did some strong things in the last quarter where he played like the champion he is, other than that made some poor kicking errors.

Apart from Fletch's short snap pass to Thomas, I thought he was a solid contributor, got out marked a few times by Rocca who could have had 3 or 4 goals, but limited Rocca's impact on the match much better than anyone else could I think.

JJonno was who I was most disappointed with on Tuesday. He should be getting back to a decent level of fitness after surgery, but at the moment he just looks way too slow and is struggling to get a kick, his poor kick to Kepler Bradley in the first quarter was a key error and hurt as badly as we were on a roll and they rebounded quickly. He really needs to stand up in the next few weeks and play like a captain, as he would be one of the players in line to fill in Lloyd's leadership gap.

MJonno I thought was pretty good today did a lot of hard things and got some hard ball, no where near his best though. Don't think he deserved too much criticism.

3 - Hille (Dominated, would give more votes if possible)
2 - Lovett-Murray
1 - Hird

Not many other than these three did their bit (Stanton, Heff, Fletcher, Watson, Rioli (impact), Monfies). Worrying sign...
