5. Lecras - He goes ok.
4. Embley - Best game for Embley in a long time, better than his game v Bulldogs last season.
3. Josh Kennedy - Tackling Pressure, work rate and disposal all top notch.
2. Hams - Sensational tackling pressure ala Kennedy,
1. Hurn - Important drive out of defense in his first game back after missing a couple.

HM's - Priddis, Stevenson, Smith,

5. LE ****ING CRAS

4. Hams - loved his game, and love the way he goes about football in general. Very team orientated player, so its nice to see him quick a handy few.

3. Sheppard - Love this kid, love his pace and his beautiful kicking, he's exactly what we need. Amazing pickup by our selectors, especially in the face of all the Jetta hype.

2. Ash Smith - deserves these votes just for coming in and playing two very good games for a rookie. Cant wait to see his speed.

1. Hurn - looked very fast tonight, broke lines. Hope he keeps it up.

Only real downer was Masten. I know alot of people have said that a stint in the WAFL won't help, but he is just not up to AFL grade at the moment. Drop him for Swift.

Mez

Don't want to turn this into a discussion thread and while i agree he was poor. It's important to remember that he's coming back from a PCL and that he's young and needs game times at AFL level to work his way into the game plan, the tempo and his role (one he's not suited to imo).

He had more touches than Sheppard and greater Disposal efficency. (Yeah Shepps was better).

Ill support any decision on his selection in the coming weeks.

5 - LeCras - agree with others would give him all 15 if I could
4 - Priddis - very good in the clearances and as a link man with run and carry
3 - Hams - best game for the club, three goals and his defensive pressure was superb
2 - Kennedy - only one goal ... but I am sure anyone that was at the ground would agree with me that his workrate was unbelievable, he still got double figure marks (and would have got more but made the mistake of leading at Ebert a lot) and some of his tackling was exceptional.
1 - Embley - he's back!!!

HM - S.Selwood (shaded Priddis as our best mid in the first half I thought particularly with his hard ball gets), A.Selwood, Hurn, Rosa, Lynch, Naitanui (6 clearances), Cox (5 clearances) - we were dominant in the midfield tonight and a lot was to do with our rucks!

5 - LeCras - just sensational.
4 - Priddis - 32 touches, 6 tackles and 9 clearances. He was very good.
3 - Embley - 25 touches, kicked a goal, 5 marks and 4 clearances. Vintage Embers.
2 - A.Selwood - 26 touches, all of them pretty good ones, 4 tackles and 6 marks.
1 - A.Hams - 18 touches and kicked 3 goals. His defensive pressure was terrific with 5 tackles and he took 6 marks. More please.

HM - Kennedy had 12 marks, 20 disposals and kicked a goal but it was his terrific tackling, 6 in total and defensive pressure when Ess were trying to rebound the footy was sensational. He's very unlucky. Scooter was good, Cox and NN dominated the ruck and kicked goals. Stevenson was very good aswell.

5. M Lecras
4. A Hams
3. M Priddis
2. A Selwood
1. A Embley

HM -- Ebert / Kennedy , Ebert gets bagged ongoing but he has the perfect build for a midfielder its just he lacks pace and disposal ATM is average . Ebert stands up in tackles and is always at the contest .

Interestingly due to WA bias I noticed Essendon's best on AFL site were Colyer Howlett and Reimers

I don't understand how all of you don't have Kennedy higher? Putting blokes like Smith and Selwood ahead of him is very weird imo. He was huge last night and his second half of footy where he was playing true CHF was massive and probably the best patch of footy I've seen from him. Seriously dominated Essendon. Anyway...

5. LeCras
4. Kennedy
3. Hams
2. Priddis
1. Naitanui

HM to Embley

I can count the euphoric feelings I've had during and eagles game on one hand since the 2006 premiership, and tonight almost got me to those heights, fantastic efforts from all the young players must be commended. And to think we have the likes of Houlihan, Shuey, etc to work their way back into the side.

5. Le Cras

What hasn't already been said about this remarkable display?

4. Priddis

Hard working with his tackling and clearances, kicked a goal

3. Hams

Rocked in the breeze with 3 goals, great defensive pressure

2. Embley

Bought a tear to my eye, will forever be a favourite of mine

1. Kennedy

Hardest working forward, some great marks and work up the ground.
