Plenty of players deserving of recognition this week; didn't think we had a standout BOG but several players had great games; wanted to recognise the defenders this week for their work too.

5 - Zac Williams: made a few errors (especially early) but drove a lot of rebound from defence, won plenty of ball in contests too
4 - Dylan Shiel: pushed through the pain barrier of his shoulder & despite a few errors he got ball in contests & provided the run we needed to go forward
3 - Josh Kelly: played a little more outside but tackled & attacked forward cleanly - instrumental in the third quarter overrun of the Dogs plus his 2 goals
2 - Nick Haynes: lots of intercept marks & was often our saviour in stopping Dogs' attacks in the second quarter - just has great hands & reads play so well
1 - Phil Davis: marshalled the defenders well, as an individual had lots of punches & marks throughout, but especially stood tall in the second quarter

Unlucky: Jon Patton: brilliant opening quarter and was a handful all night for the undermanned Doggies' defence
Lachie Whitfield: had a monster of a third quarter after being quiet first half with pinpoint passes to drive our attack
Tom Scully: ran all night & was very clean in his disposal again, plenty of unheralded work in contests
Nathan Wilson: bounced back with a great rebounding game
Everyone else played well & no-one really had a poor game.

5 Shiel Coming good at the right time although I am worried about his shoulders
4 Patton The goals in the first quarter set the tone for the game
3 Kelly
2 Coniglio
1 Williams A couple of really bad clangers which if they didn't happen he would have scored higher
