5 Butters - was the spark inside that released our players to space with hands and decision making. So clean all night. 11 score involvements and from memory the first 3 goals to get us going.


4 JHF - exceptional when it got hard. Not only does he rack up possessions, he’s highly efficient with them. Also demands 2-3 oppo come at him which creates space. He is untaggable.

3 Rozee - That’s what expect from a captain. Was physical in the first quarter at player and ball and the team responded to it. The bar is set.

2 MG - presented all night and got his goals.

1 Aliir - a rock back there who when needed shut down multiple oppo attacks.

Play of the Day - 3rd Quarter - Centre Bounce - Sweet down to Butters, one, two, three bobbles but drags it in and pretty much in the same motion, finds the Hornet on the outside who delivers it on a pretty good platter to Georgiades who marks and finishes with a goal. Unbelievable.

Butters got a 5 and a 4, Rozee got a 5 and a 3, Horne-Francis got a 4 and a 3. Gunston 2 from both, Georgiades and Drew 1 from different coaches. Who gave who votes is anyone's guess.

Those coaches votes seem about right. Butters, JHF and Rozee were the 3 clear best players on the ground and hardly anything separated them. Arguing over who was the best out of the 3 is pointless as they were all very good.
