5. Priddis (4 Goal assists - about time really)
4. Hurn
3. Cox
2. Rosa
1. LeCras

Wanted Scooter in there for his job on Davey, might have got LeCras spot because of his poor conversion but he still got us 17 points and by marking it he at least stopped their run.

1.Cox- Outstanding today
2.Priddis- Gut running
3.Rosa- Excellent
4.Kennedy- How nice is it to have a key forward
5.A Selwood- Hart.

Others that impressed, Hurn, Schofield,Laca and McGinitty

I think what showed today is how quality our defence can be when the midfield apply pressure further up the ground.

Difficult again to pick the best 5 - very even contribution across the ground both with ball in hand and in the opponents.

5. Rosa (mainly because that delivery has been sorely missed)
4. Priddis
3. Cox
2. McGinnity
1. LeCras

5 - Will Schofield; probably not our best but very close to and making up for the serious lack of love in the votes for him
4 - Dean Cox: carved up
3 - Matt Priddis: best game in a long time from him
2 - Matt Rosa: brilliant
1 - Shannon Hurn: just commanded the half back line brilliantly as always

5 - Cox (stepped up big time in that 2nd half when we needed senior player(s) to lift)
4 - Priddis (his kicking has improved out of sight this season, he spots up targets and is decent with his entry in the F50)
3 - Rosa (those two bullet passes in quick succession to our forwards was worth of getting votes alone. Worked hard and put in a solid performance)
2 - S.Selwood (thats two brilliant shutdown jobs in a row now. He's finding his role that will cement himself in the side)
1 - LeCras (yeah the final scoreline doesn't look too pretty but they were difficult efforts and he provided a strong target all day)

Congratulations today, fellas.

Couldn't believe all the hate I was reading about Priddis during the week from you blokes. Always thought he won a heap of the footy. Today, I saw it with my own eyes. A clearance machine.

Off to drink myself into oblivion!

5 - Priddis (Best by a good margin with 35 Disposals at 80% efficency, just one clanger. He scored 154 DT points!)
4 - Cox ( Plenty of clearences, lots of Uncontested disposals and worked Jamar into the ground)
3 - Kenendy (10 Marks for the big man, worked over time. Lace out to LeCras on the lead is pure sex from this emerging stat.)
2- Hurn (Driving of the half back with 21 touches in his best game for the season).
1 - Sheppard (3 bounces, playing as we want at this stage with very few marks. Breaking lines rather than presenting).

5. Priddis - He really was the difference between winning and losing I think. Safe to say that all the gruntwork was done by him, a truly superb effort for an oft-maligned player.
4. Cox - Was his usual self and thus one of our best.
3. Kennedy - Sounds like he played with a stomach bug but you'd never know it. Kicked us off to a perfect start and was great the rest of the day. Was responsible for most of our marks inside 50 too, at a guess - either marking or delivering to LeCras.
2. Scooter - Can't quite figure out whether he stopped Davey or whether Davey's early faceplant was responsible for his quiet day. At any rate, when Scooter came off him in the last quarter he started looking dangerous, so I'll lean to the former.
1. Rosa - Willed himself into the game and was clean with his disposal.

HMs:
Schofield - would have got a vote if he had tougher opposition. A good game anyway, hope he keeps this up.
Sheppard - Was sublime with his skills I thought, can't wait to see him getting more of the pill.

Wasn't Priddis grunt work that earnt him top votes for me. He worked into space, used the ball efficenctly. I still screamed at him a couple of times in the second when he and Naitanui needed to commit to a contest and both declined. He also went into the defensive 50 at one stage where Nicoski turned the ball over to Scully, Priddis did some damn stupid work in that contest. But he was top notch for large periods.

Priddis had been poor for a solid month and he turned it around to produce perhaps his best game ever.

Yeah well when I meant gruntwork I didn't mean it in the usual sense that we use it to describe him. His disposal was pretty much faultless - he seemed very much aware of his limitations and did what he knew he was capable of. That's the kind of footy he should, and could play every week.

Come off it. Most weeks his kicking is as average as ever. This week he just had a bit more time and poise and didn't get found out.
Against a teams that really pours the pressure on, eg St Kilda, we will be saying he is a hack who can't kick again. Having said that Priddis deserves votes this week.

5 Cox
4 Hurn
3 Priddis
2 Kennedy - Gun. never stopped trying but he looked sore today? Anyone know if he is 100%?
1 LeCras - could have been best on if he kicked straight. Why can't Lynch and Mckinley lead and mark like this man???

Also Glassy was very good today, but partly because Melbourne doesn't have a quality power forward. Glass played well but looked bloody sore and proppy. I think he has showed that he isn't out of form, its just that his groins are barely working. If a quick power forward ala Fev gets on the lead after one of our shocking turnovers 70m from the opposition goal, he just doesn't have the pace at the moment. Hope its one of those niggles that can improve during the season.
