2. McKinley
1. Masten

Unlucky - Embley and Cox really got us going in that last quarter (although the latter's decision to put us into lockdown mode...), I also liked Cockie's effort.

Hurn had already given away a holding the ball that wasn't paid.

And we failed to put the game away earlier when Lynch and Cockie missed easy set shots.

I don't care about his holding the ball, he was shit through-out the night.

Panics, bad decision maker, butchers the ball.

Unlucky: Masten, S Selwood.

We were at our best in the last quarter when Embley stepped up and our kids were running through the middle.

If we had just kept attacking, Sydney were out on their feet, one more goal and it was over .... just like 2005. Again, just like that game we ****ed it up and they got a lucky goal.

:confused:That is just dumb.

Last weeks win kept us in touch with the group of teams that are going to make the eight. This weeks loss puts us a game behind them with an extremely tough month ahead of us.

5. Kennedy - Did exactly what he needed to. Ran very hard, took a great contested grab and kicked a couple. His work rate and "presence" make the difference between a good and a very good performance.
4. Cox - Was being challenged well by Jolly but took his intensity up a notch in the last quarter. Brilliant tap work and lifted the team when required.
3. Lynch - Worked so hard, but did the little things so well. Sensational at ground level and around the contest. Beat 3 players in a contested situation to snap a great goal.
2. McKinley - Had some bad errors, but put most of his opportunities away. Used his body well.
1. Masten - Fantastic in traffic and so aggressive around the stoppages in the last quarter. Kicking was good again.

Really deserve a mention: Cockie, S. Selwood and Embley.

Sure we had some bad turnovers and missed opportunities but the guys ran the game out very well and our young players in Cockie and S. Selwood showed they may have some nice finishing skills.

The performance this week was miles ahead of last week's performance.

5: Lynch (Leave him around half forward)
4: Kennedy (Probably his best game for the club)
3: Embley (Pretty solid throughout)
2: Masten (Starting to show why he was taken so high)
1: McKinley (His best game for the year, and stepped up with Lecca well held)

HM: Cockie and I thought Bones played his best game for the year tonight as well.. (not much to improve on, been horrible most of the season)

and the winner is...

we now have a forward line!

Sydney look to be on the slide if that is their best at home. We have that much potential in the WAFL where as Sydney Reserves are getting some beltings in the ACT comp.

How can some not have Cox in their votes...? Maybe he has set the standard so high that when he has a slightly off day some think he has not produced. Baffles me.
