Strange thing for me Hunter was an easy choice for best Eagle on ground -the rest of the votes where hard- but on the radio and on here no ones has mentioned him

I think we're trained by the Brownlow to favour midfielder and their posessions. Actually I thought Glass had an excellent game too. The spoils , shepherds etc of defenders are not counted in the stats.
Not that you can take away the brilliant performances of Cuz, Embers, Wirra and Kerr...they were magificent.

I don't disagree with anyones voting but gee, Fletch must feel gutted not to get a point after 27 possies, 10 marks and 3 tackles. The quiet achiever I reckon.
I didn't think Fletcher was as effective or influential as Cousins and Kerr. Cousins led well early when we could have been wiped out and was good all day and Kerr stepped up and was the catalyst for our comeback. Fletcher was good and consistent all match - as expected of a midfielder. I thought Cousins and Kerr were slightly better so unfortunately Fletcher had to miss out for me. Would have been next in line.

5. Cousins ( True captain, always stands up when we need him)
4. Wirrapunda ( Mr Reliable)
3. Embley (Awesome mark, the reason we won)
2. Kerr ( Worked hard, particually second half)
1. Stenglein ( Great pick up; loving it!)

5 Cousins
4 Wirrupunda
3 Hunter
2 Stenglein
1 Glass (Did his opponent even get a kick?)

5) Cuz - lead from the front
4) Embers - when it was needed, he stepped up.
3) Wirra - agree with whoever said he'll go AA if he keeps his form up. Class
2) Stinger - good job on McLeod
1) Banners - thought he did well on Roo.

Glass, Hunter, Cox and Kerr all could have gotten votes as well.

dunno what to think of the game. Good win in the sense it was an away win at a venue which we are historically terrible. It seemed to mean a lot to the boys judging from their reactions after the game but gee.... we looked all over the place.

I'm actually glad i programmed the recorder to the wrong station, i don't think i want to watch the game again. (yes i really did tape the wrong channel, had the dvd recorder 8 months and still can't use it :o )

5. Embley (won us the game on his own)
4. Ben Cousins
3. Chad Fletcher
2. Daniel Kerr
1. Darren Glass (whoever his opponent was he got an absolute caining)

Happy about that win simply cos we played so badly. We are getting in serious trouble with our injuries, especially if Cousins cannot play next week. Embley looked bloody good up forward. Maybe he can be our version of Pavlich :P, i hope he is kept there for a while and given a greater opportunity to cement himself there......

5. Wirrpunda
4. Embley
3. Kerr
2. Cousins
1. Hunter

How peeved would you be if you were a Crows supporter? Nothing worse than leading all day and then getting pipped!

5 - Ben Cousins - instantly back into top form. Worked tirelessly and lifted his workrate when everybody else was cramping up. Judd is on notice, Cuz aint happy losing his BFWCPOTY crown.

4 - Daniel Kerr - 26 touches and 8 marks, like Cuz, he lifted his workrate in the second half as he and Cuz went on a tear. His toughness always makes a difference.

3 - David Wirrpunda - sublime skills and a constant rebounding force. But it was his desperation and courage that saw him throw his body on the line time and time again. He just keeps getting better.

2 - Andrew Embley - any other day he would be getting the 5 votes but the three above him just played so well. But you cant argue with 21 touches, 11 marks and 3 goals. He's better than Pavlich.

1 - Drew Banfield - he towelled up Mark Ricciuto who is one of the very best midfielders in the game. A mammoth effort from the veteran.

Unlucky
Cox - rucked well.
Gardiner - only presense up forward, tried hard all day.
Glass - destroyed Stevens.
Fletcher - ball magnet, could have used it better though.
Stenglien - killed McLeod.
Braun - toiled hard all day on a wing against a very good Burton.
Butler - very impressive.

5. Cousins
4. Kerr
3. Wirra
2. Embley
1. Stenglein

5. Wirrpunda
4. Kerr
3. Cousins
2. Embley
1. Fletcher

Not a great game. I dubbed this game as the make-it or break-it game... if we are a true top 4 contender (which i believe/hope we are) then we should be able to beat bottom 4, if not bottom 8, teams AWAY FROM HOME. Thank god we got it over the line!
