Well.... maybe not, come to think about it, but his 1%ers amd 2nd efforts were just amazing. He played a very special game last night, and most of the brilliant stuff he did last night just will not show up in the stats.

What I didn't like so much about the captain's game last night, was him being quietened for long periods in the game, notwithstanding the fact that overall Lloyd's game was amazing just for the sheer amount of stats he racked up.

Yeah I liked his efforts when he didnt have the ball, havent seen him tackle like that ever...
He played well though, I would love to see Dempsey and him as a tag team between the midfield and the forward line

A bit harsh , he was kept quiet for a period of time because the Swans where pushing two blokes back into defence and filling the hole in front of him.

I actually didn't think Scotty looked that good last night. He looked pretty flat, especially in the first half. But that is a sign of a good player, being able to contribute when they are below their best.

I agree Longy i thoguht he looked slightly off his game in the first half but he kept presenting and his persistance payed off.

Very happy that Lloyd made the step up as Captain that I thought he would and that Watson played exactly the type of game to reward a great summer from him.

Solomon was running on fumes pretty early but his attack on the ball was fierce and was pivotal in the first quarter. He is going to have to play a similar highly physical game against Brown and Voss this week.

Lovett played well but was it better then 26 possesions and 8 goals from a FF?

One of those 8 came from a nice little Kick by Lovett to Lloydy, normally I would give 3 to Lloyd, but 2 Goals in 3 Quarters isn't BOG, yes he was put under more pressure, Sydney did slow supply and he spent time across the Half Back line, but Lovett's pace, unnerved Sydney several times, leading to several turnovers, Lovett added pace to a side which has struggled for speed.

We are splitting hairs, for they both played great, and will need to do so again this week against Brisbane.

I think it says a lot about just how good Lloyd is that people are no longer so wowed (is that even a word?) by such a performance, and are even contemplating that he wasn't best on ground.

Lovett was good but seriously chaps.

I don't see it personally. Lovett was solid and damaging at times, very happy with his performance given he had a slow pre-season (understandably). But Lloyd was best afield for us by a fair margin, Lovett was a support act. Even when Lloyd wasn't kicking goals he was getting involved and he set up others too.
