When the game is finished, allocate up to 15 votes as you see fit to our better players on the night. 5,4,3,2,1 is the traditional way to do it, but any other combo is allowed as long as no single player gets more than 5 votes.

With Matt Taberner being dropped, we're back to having no official Young Blokes this week.

See this thread for more info.

5. The God/Future Captain/Sexy Beast - Fyfe
4. Barlow
3. Spurr
2. Ballantyne
1. Neale for the winning goal and looking like Harry Styles

5. Fyfe
4. Barlow
3. Sandi
2. Ballas
1. Neale

-1000. The umpires
-100. Me - for missing the bloody train and having to wait 18 minutes for the next one and consequently missing the pre-game tribute.

5 - Fyfe (I think he has now managed to eclipse Pav as our talisman - I do think he's starting to overdo the "I'll bullock my way to a clearance" routine because he's always tackled immediately, but it's a sign of how good he is that is actually still works most of the time!)
4 - Barlow (that buzzer beater leading into 3QT was absolutely vital, and in general Mick was a vital cog in most of our positive forward movements)
3 - Sandilands (quite how he could get so many hitouts and be so handy around the ground, and our midfield still lose the clearances so badly, is a mystery - but I doubt Aaron will ever be the forward target that he should be)
2 - Dawson (he's had some shockers recently, but I want to applaud Zac for his efforts tonight because he seemed the only member of our defence fully switched on; saved our bacon numerous times tonight and you can bet Henderson would have got off the leash again without him)
1 - Ballantyne (if he didn't play, we would have lost - this is an uncomfortable truth for Freo to face really, because although Hayden wasn't at his very best tonight he still makes an impact with relatively few possessions)

Honourable mentions to Neale, Clarke and Duffield.

5 Fyfe
4 Barlow
3 Ballas
2 Spurr
1 Lachie - just for having the cojones to deliver when we needed it

5 Chris Judd

...

Well, really difficult to give 15 votes:

5 Fyfe
3 Barlow
1 Sandilands
1 Neale
1 Ballantyne
1 Spurr
1 Mayne

Dunno, who could get the last two votes (between Clarke, Sutcliff, Mundy, Dawson, probably each should get 0,5). Any other compination looks wrong for me. So I stay with 13 votes.

Overall an ugly and badly umpired (and I hardly ever complain about umpiring) game with a lot of physical niggling. And we really needs to lift...
