5 - Ashley Hansen - With Doogs watching, Lynch having little impact and Gardiner injured in the second quarter we needed someone to stand up and be counted in our forward line. He was simply awesome, I dont want to get too excited about him just yet but boy he looks good.

4 - Andrew Embley - Ho-hum, typical day at the office for Embers. 22 touches, 8 marks and another 3 goals. Superstar!

3 - Daniel Chick - destroyed Ablett and was supreme in the first quarter. On another note, saw Chick again at work. He lives in Quinns and my servo is his local. Had a chat and he said that we would get up, he certainly played his part on making sure that happened.

2 - David Wirrpunda - he again sets everything up from the backline, if he stays in this form he will go AA. Think he played on Byrnes though and that kid got a lot of it but so did Wirrpunda and he was damaging setting up play from half back.

1 - Adam Hunter - A stumbling block for Geelong all day at half back. Took 8 marks and had 17 touches. Solid all day long and did the little things too. (sheperding, 4 tackles, spoiling)

Unlucky

Cox - was beaten in the ruck but had an around the ground influence and got better as the game went on.
Jones - solid game from the youngster, will be hard to drop even with guys like Doogs, Cuz, Waters etc out of the side.
Glass - destroyed his opponent again. And what a goal!!
Nicoski - welcome back son, another quality youngster.
Judd - was good but when he sets such high standards you expect more.
Fletcher - ball magnet again but used it poorly at times which is uncharacteristic. Watching him kick it straight to a Geelong player 3 times at least.
Stenglein - beat Ling early and kept him quiet most of the game whilst picking up 21 touches and 7 marks himself.

1. Hunter - Solid game all round. Nothing flashy but did his job very well.

Unlucky:
Fletch - i would have given him votes but his disposal really did let him down at times. I think in the space of about 3 minutes in the 3rd quarter, twice he kicked it straight to a Geelong defender when entering our forward 50.

also Wirra, Glass, Bones and Stinger i thought had good games.
