Bloody hard to give out five votes, but here goes

5. Cousins
4. Butler
3. Glass
2. Matera
1. McDougall

Lynch was probably the only other player I would have considered. Cox and Seaby need to learn to direct their taps better; no point in winning the ruck just to tap it to the opposition.

6: Umpires - Too whistle happy. And what about that out on the full against Chick in the 1st qtr, when the ball CLEARLY rebounded off Braun's *rse!

5: Butler - Played the link between HB and HF.
4: Cousins - Worked his butt off, even if he didn't have that big an impact
3: McDougall - Confidence is going up, he might be our KPP saviour yet
2: Glass - Rebounded really great. Looks to be over his kicking problems
1: Cox - Has really become solid and consistent, next step, match winning performances.

5. Butler - really looks like he can take it in the AFL
4. McDougall - was good early but didnt get good passes in from the midfield later in the game
3. Cousins - never seems to stop trying
2. Seaby - given a good try in the ruck, needs experience but was good
1. Lynch - played well on Rocca

5: Glass - Easily our best defender or player of the day
4: Butler - Sort of filled Embley's role
3: Cousins - Clearly his not fit
2: Doogs - If only he had more opportunities from our midfield
1: Seabs - Great ruck work and some great grabs.

Same ol' WCE on the road...

Think we need some accountable midfielders with some pace and some hard nuts.

5) McDougall (proabably one of a few players that actually won his posistion for us)
4) Chick
3) Butler
2) Cousins
1) Fletcher

5 - Sam Butler
4 - Darren Glass
3 - Andrew McDougall
2 - Ben Cousins
1 - Mark Seaby

a very dissaspointing loss. we are a better team than that, and this inability to win away from Subi is getting awfully frustrating.

Even though it's good to see 4 of the top 5 (IMO) being young still pretty unrpoven guys, there's only so much damage we can inflict on the opposition when SB, DG, AM and MS are in our best 5.

To win that many hitouts through Cox and Seaby and yet to be thrashed in the clearances by the North midfield means that shared responsibility for the loss has to reside mostly with those players, hence my otherwise inexplicable votes. Ben gets one anyway for courageous leadership.

Butler did well for a quarter (when we were thrashed).
Braun did better than anyone else has done recently on a dangerous small forward.
Matera scored 3 goals and was squeezed out by McDougall having 2 tackles to his 0.

Still we are young, it was cold, it was a long way to travel........and we are not good enough. Yet.

From a North perspective, I thought Fletcher was one of your better players. He was playing on Simmo and I'd say that he broke even which was probably a good result given Simmo's form. Too many of your other midfielders got cut up when they didn't have the ball...something my mob has been guilty of this season.

Also surprised that Staker was dropped. He looks a likely type. What was the John Dory there?

All the best for the rest of the season.

Something I found interesting was that most of you have given Cousins votes. I thought it was one of his worst games for us this season. His direct opponent (Grant) got BOG and kept Cousins very, very ineffective. Just because you can gather a few possessions in the last quarter when the game is over, doesn't mean that you've put in a good effort.

Our team needs to begin playing just like that....as a TEAM. This is where we are beaten every time....too many wannabe stars and not enough working together and helping out.

5. Braun - Played very well on Harvey, harvey damaged us when Kerr was put on him

4. Butler - Looks like he's gonna be a star, provided the run when all the midfield just didnt want to

3. McDougall - Starting to look promising and damaging

2. Chick - Played pretty well throughout i thought

1. Glass - Rebounded well i thought and looks like he can do the role that wirra did last year

I can't see why people blame the weather for our insipid performance.. Yes it was cold, and yes i was there but the 3rd quarter let us down, because i thought we played reasonably well in the first half..
If our players can learn to kick straight in front of goal, eg. phil matera, wirra, morrison (useless, i could have kicked that it was a sitter)

5. Cousins
4. doogs
3. Matera
2. Fletch
1. Judd(for not giving up, its not his fault evertime he touched the ball he got gang tackeld, he should been protected more by teammates, and umpires)
