Here are the votes for the last time this year.

LDU - 56 votes. After a quiet game of 28 and 1 goal. LOL. Look out.
Apples Corr - 27 votes. Got a heap of the ball and worked all day.
The Goat - well third best in his first game - could well end up as the GOAT. If they think Bontempelli deserves the title...
Curtis Taylor - 19 votes. Sign him up Brady.
Hugh Greenwood - 14 votes. 10 tackles in a massive game for Hugh.
Buckets - 12 votes. He's a rock down back.
Jy got five votes, Goldy and Lachie Young got two each and Cunners got 1.

5 - Luke Davies-Uniacke.
4 - Aiden Corr.
3 - Josh Goater.
2 - Curtis Taylor.
1 - Hugh Greenwood.

Looks good. Surprised Buckets didn’t finish a little higher.

Some folks owe Curtis Taylor an apology.

Same here but this voting tends to be biased towards mids then forwards. It seems the backs only get good votes when the rest of the side play really badly.

Taylor is interesting. He had 9 votes by about round 5 and didn't get one till before the bye, then he played really well in a series of games we struggled in and climbed into the top three. He has held his position in the top five since (but in that time LDU did get most of the votes.) He does seem limited - small/skinny and can't always stick tackles, kicking a bit sus at times (but everyone in the comp *s up kicks) - but then they are exactly the sort of weaknesses Clarko seems to either fix (or else players don't last).

Before lockdowns in 2020 we were raving about Taylor's first few games (pre season and r1 & 2.) He won the game for the us against the Saints when we came back in the second half. He had alot of potential and is starting to deliver on it.

im not sure if goldy will poll that well, last year he didnt make the bnf top 10, nobles doesnt rate him and was in charge for most of the year

LDU with 59 votes is huge

Great year by Taylor, 4th overall

I also reckon Aidan corr will poll well in the real thing

Fair criticism of his tackling. He’s built like a 12 year old school girl and definitely needs to hit the gym in the off season.

Also agree he is the type of player Clarko will get the best out of. Reckon his overhead marking, tricks and smarts give him huge upside as a wing / half forward.

Nice work Ferbs.

I have to say though that I think this needs its own thread.

I know we’re just mugs but it’s the North big footy, dare I say it, the Lidge medalist?
