3. Gus - Sensational game marked everything set up goals, kicked some of his own, made Hodge look second rate.
2. Dempsey - Was the reason Franklin to one mark for the match, guy has courage in abundance.
1. Stanton - Useage is getting much better.

The whole team was superb but, if we're forced to single guys out, then it's:

3 - B.Stanton
2 - M.Lloyd (what a marvellously inspirational captain he has become)
1 - A.Monfries

Special mentions to Winderlich, Lovett and Lovett-Murray too and Watson, whose second half was brilliant.

And to Pears and Hooker as well. They were both absolutely magnificent.

tough one. such an even effort.
3-Backline
2-Midfield
1-Forwards :D

3-Monfries. Was pumped and played a flawless game. Great to see
2-Lloyd. Brilliant game. Strong, sure and imposing. Still stand by the fact that if he can have a 4-5 goal game, we will generally win.
1-Ryder. Brilliant effort in the ruck w/Bellchambers against two very good strong ruckmen

Apologies to Stanton, Watson, Hocking, Winderlich and the guys down back to performed admirably.

3. Stanton - Fantastic game, just keeps getting the job done

2. Monfries - Great, he is a very unique player. If he gets over 20 touches and a couple of goals we will win

1. Lloyd - Excellent captains game led from the front

Unlucky Winderlich, Lovett, Slattery, Dempsey. Fantastic team game by all 21 players. Pears and Hooker showed great signs for the future without Fletch.

You mean apart from the fact he kept Mark Williams to one goal while he got 19 touches of his own

I agree Im not normally a huge rap for him but I thought he was outstanding last night almost put him my votes

3-Stanton
2-Gus
1-Hooker or Pears

All we needed was one of those young fellas to have their pants pulled down and we may have lost. We looked into the future and their is no doubt it's very bright

3 - Stanton, he is a machine just keeps running gets his own ball and plays on one of the best players from the other team week in week out

2 - Monfries, needed to regain some form and put in a 4 quarter effort

1 - Winderlich, his run sets us up for many goals

3. Lloyd - Captains game, took some great marks and although his set shots could of been a bit better, led the way!
2. Monfries - Played a very good game, like Lloyd took some good marks, made some good leads and created space for the team.
1. Stanton/Winderlich - Both played well and created run, great passing and showed some wonderful skill.

Could of given a vote to Davey, NLM (who was decent for a change!), Watson and Zaharakis.

Great team effort!

Slattery wasn't all that great ;)

**** me!!! The guy was awesome last night!
Watch the game again.
I had him 4th best. The best game I've ever seen him play

3/ Lloyd - Outstanding game. Gets top spot because it was the best captains game he has played (apart from one silly head-high free). Being the only senior player speaks volumes of his leadership.

2/ Winderlich - A couple of seasons playing like he is at the moment will see him as our first elite midfielder of this group. Wins contested ball, breaks the lines, gut runs, tackles, good overhead, can kick a goal. And all this after back surgery... immense. Not many would realise but he had 29 disposals in just 69% TOG.

3/ Hooker - Contentious selection ahead of an unlucky Stanton and Monfries. I would argue that his game was the most important for us in setting the tone for our result. Kept the Buddy factor to a minimum, backed himself, showed dash, and was intelligent in his defensive postioning. For a young bloke, he was far more poised than anyone would have expected. He is an ace up the sleeve of our squad moving forward and will allow flexibility with players such as Hurley, Daniher and Ryder.

For the first time in ten ten years I saw the seed of a premiership team.

Didn't see any promise in the 2000 team?

3: Stanton - Played his heart out.
2: Monfries - Absolutely Dominated.
1: Lloyd - Played like a champion.

Does hooker deserve another week at full back? Pending Hurley and Danihers returns...

3) Stanton - great how we can rely on him for plenty of possies and a goal each game.

2) Monfries - working so much harder now than he used to. finding space well too.

1) Winderlich - has added a little something to his game to go with his pace.

Honourable Mentions to Lloyd, Zaka and Pears. Amazing to see how good the team can be when everyone is playing at their best.
