3- johnstone, lone effort in the middle, tried his heart out. absolute class player yet not recognised cos we got pumped. couldnt have done anything else
2- moloney, rather pleased wtih his game. needed a big one. got a bit quiet but then again, who didnt
1- sylvia, normally when ya get pumped, the youngens are the quietest but he really stood tall. his best game imo.

3 - Johnstone
2 - Sylvia
1 - Green

Pretty weak effort really, a lot of guys went missing when the pressure was on...including Daniher's coaching.

I have some questions for Daniher.
Why was Ferguson not playing? He gives us more options in the backline, especially if Nicho struggles as he did.
Why was Green not in the middle during the third quarter? Played well early getting good possies in there, i understand the need for a goal kicker, but we really got smashed in the third quarter.
Why was Miller not moved back up the ground when we were struggling? Needed a target in the forward line, maybe he could have gone deeper into the forward line.

cbf right now.

Stinga you're right too. Some of daniher's decisions were terrible. I saw neita wandering down back for a while. What hope do we have, when our CHF and FF are playing in the backline? Doesn't matter if their forward line was firing, we have to learn to match fire with fire.

He did make some very strange decisions. While we're at it, Col and Beamer should have played the WHOLE game in the midfield as clearly they were our best. Beamer I thought was very good in the first half and melbournemartin you're right, it was Col's best game as he got plenty of it and I really liked his clearance work (Great tackle on Brown, 99% of players would've been shrugged off and IMO should have been holding it), but unfortunately his best game was in probably our worst game for the year.

3 - Johnstone (Had another good game, was our top possession getter and top tackler)

2 - Sylvia (Got plenty of the ball, especially in the clearances and really tried hard)

1 - Moloney (got us going in the first half, he always ran hard, fast and straight when in possession)

Green unlucky to miss out on the votes with 4 goals, Robbo also kicked 4 but didn't seem as effective as what he should have for a 4 goal game.

3 - Johnstone (yet another good 4 quarter game)
2 - Moloney (gave us some grunt out of the middle without much help)
1 - Green (was dangerous wherever he went)

Thought Sylvia was terrific too and Robbo worked hard but they kept kicking it over his head. I think Daniher was a bit slow to react last nite but I don't think it would have mattered too much what he did, we left for home by half time.

I think it was one of Johnos less effective games. He may have got alot of the ball but it didnt seem he had the effect on the game that he has been having thus far this season.

also johnstone managed to bring jonothan brown to the ground and get holding the ball just by holding his hand

i guess we were just a bit lazy all night. at one stage colin sylvia hoped on jonothan brown and went for a piggy back ride
