i am typing about 1 letter every 10 seconds i am that sad.

3. Neitz - best game for the year and an absolute champion. unfortuantly he had no help up forward
2. Moloney - meh, stood up in another loosing team like he tends to do
1. Johnstone - he is gunna win the B&F so may aswell give him votes. not a great game but he showed a bit of class and those 2 goals kept us in it.

im seriously out of answers really

3 - Neitz (champ)
2 - Sylvia (well I like him so why not?)
1 - Johnstone

Apologies to Moloney who plays well even when the side is struggling (reading this Cam Bruce) and Carroll who did quite well.

3) Neitz - Best game he has played in a while, not just the 6 goals but every contest he gave it his all, won 9 contested possessions and set up lots of scoring opportunities.

2) Moloney - Battled hard all night once again, won a fair bit of the hard ball, provided lots of run and got 6 tackles which is a fair effort. Good to see he can play well in losing sides, unlike other certain players.

1) White - Had to ruck all night against the tough Jolly/Ball duo, got plenty of hitouts and was involved a lot around the ground. Good effort in his 200th match.

Not going to dwell on the negatives right now, somehow I can see some positives out of this. Here they are:

- Neitz is far from finished, he was great tonight and reminded us of the 2002 Neitz.
- Moloney's ability to work hard and play well again, especially in a losing side.
- Ferguson actually did well tonight, even though his opponent kicked 7. Many of Hall's goals were in the goalsquare when he got lucky with a loose ball and a couple were on Carroll. But I thought Ferguson tried really hard, made some good contests and was probably our best backman.
- Sylvia didn't get much of it tonight, but make no mistake, he will be a gun. Why? Well you tell me how many senior players, let alone 19 year old kids, would run backwards with their eyes on the ball knowing Barry Hall is coming right out them. That was courage, that was commitment and that genuinely got me excited.
- That's actually about it tonight, not many positives.

EDITED- White gets the 1 vote instead of Johnstone.

How the hell is Sylvia getting votes? He had 9 touches! Sure, he had a dip, but he wasn't near being in our best tonight. Sylvia Saint, your vote for him because you like him is f*cking ridiculous, and shouldn't count if you guys actually keep a running tally. It's that kind of crap that makes me hate this board sometimes.

3 - Neitz. The captain stood up. Pity the rest didn't.

2 - Moloney. Had a dip tonight, I have been disappointed with his efforts recently but he had a real go and lifted his game.

1 - Ward. 14 touches, and had a red hot go the entire time he was on.

The rest can, frankly, get stuffed. Bruce and Green are soft. Yze is lazy. Brown and Whelan have both lost the plot. And making Jeff White ruck by himself all night is insanity, especially with Jamar and Johnson just languishing in the magoos.

Tongue in cheek with that comment, but whilst on the topic of giving out votes to undeserving players... Ward?

Each to their own I guess.

You know exactly why you gave him votes. To not give any to Moloney who was far better than Sylvia proves the point.

Wardy had a dip, ran hard, put on plenty of forward pressure and made the most of his opportunities, especially seeing as it's just his second game after a serious shoulder injury. Worthy of a vote.

Wardy played alright, no standout though.

3 - Neita. What more needs to be said? He gave it his all; diving on the ball, giving hands off, sheperding, all the 1%ers. One man show.

2 - Beamer. He played well, seemed to be at most contests.

EDIT: 1 - Davey.

dudes dont fight about the votes. sylvia did have a dip and in a preformance like that we cant just give it to the highest possession getters.

we seriously need miller back at CHF. his presense is sorely missed.

i would have preffered dutchy at CHF and robbo out of the goalsquare

how many more weeks until Miller comes back?

here is one out of left field. Jared Rivers CHF...thoughts? he is a smart player, decent kick and a great mark.

though against freo he would be needed vs pavlich but otherwise...wat u reckon?

Miller was 3-4 during the week I think.

Rivers, what about Fergy?

Actually I want to give all my votes to the people who were in the brawl at the end of the game in the top deck of the stand. Wild scenes as finger pointing and yelling turned into handbags at twenty paces and a brief slap fight. Classy. Some woman was screeching like a banshee and pointing her finger at some guy and ended up being used as a human shield.

3 - Screaming Female Sydney Fan
2 - Mad Pointing Melbourne Fan
1 - Old guy who tried to break it up and copped it harder than anyone else.

Pity the final siren distracted everyone and they stopped.

I wish I had been there to see that! :D

Twist - Let's look at his last 3 games:

Good against the Swans. No argument there.

Against Port - he had 10 possies in the last quarter when the game was long gone and it meant little. He won possies when there was no pressure, and therefore, that's crap.

Lions - Had a go, but fell right away in the second half. Granted, so did the rest of the team, but that's not great. Again, did nothing under pressure.

Eagles - CRAP. Again, against a top side, did nothing.

Pies - CRAP. Did nothing again.

Who's talking sh*t? It's certainly not me.

I said he was in the top 5 for the last 3 weeks and that is correct.
His first half against Brisbane was fantastic. I'll admit he hasn't played four good quarters in the last 3 weeks but who has?
At least he's trying. He's still very young and it takes young players a fair while to be able to go strong consistently for four quarters.
I think your being too harsh on someone that doesn't deserve it. I can give you a list of 10+ players who deserve it way more than Beamer.

3 - Neitz (Our only winner)

2 - White (Worked hard but still below par)

1 - Ward (Showed a bit of spirit, hopefully it won't be broken down too quickly...)

There were a few positives...

* Neeta spanked Barry plain & simple, led us well but where was the help?

* For a minute or two there in the last quarter we actually took some risks & got some run going, it was never gonna last but it showed they haven't forgotten completely...

Totals for Round 16

Neeta 24 (Unanimous, well done skip!)
Beamer 7 (Was ok but voteworthy??? Someone has to get 'em I guess)
Col 4 (Plain lucky to register a single, not the worst & perhaps in our best 3...)
Whitey 3 (average)
Wardy 3 (Welcome back, something to build on for him)
Flash 3 (Still working hard, but he looks to be running out of puff a bit)
Screaming Swans Fan 3 (Consistent performer, unlucky to miss votes...;))
Pointing Dees Fan 2 (I'm tipping he piped up around about the same time the swans fans got quiet... :( )
Old guy 1 (In the thick of it & rewarded for his work ethic!)

Result for Round 16

3 - David Neitz

2 - Brad Moloney

1 - Colin Sylvia
