5. Scarlett - brilliant!
4. Cam Mooney - play him forward!
3. Joel Corey - Ultra consistent.
2. Chappy - David King on AW said he was very quiet. ????????
1. Rookey - Solid on Goodes although Goodes threatened to steal it.

5. J.Rooke - Does this guy enjoy pain? How hard at the pill is he?
4. M.Scarlett - r*ped Big Bad Barry.
3. J.Corey - Mr Consistent.
2. D.Johnson - Does all the team things and great grab when it was needed!
1. S.Johnson - We need him!

5. Rooke
4. Scarlett
3. Corey
2. D.Johnson
1. S.Johnson

I don't know what David King was smoking on 3AW. He mentioned at one stage Milburn and Chapman should pinch hit in the ruck for around the ground ball ups.

5. Rooke
4. Scarlett
3. Chapman
2. Bartel
1. S. Johnson (statistically wise, maybe not, but he sparked us a bit in that third term. Another reason why he must remain on our list).

What!!! You couldn't fit Rooke in?
I tried. But he was as inspirational as the 5 other Rookes (or seemingly so) playing out there today....

Scarlo's one of my 3 favourite players, but was he in our best today? I thought he didn't have the hardest task in the end - Sydney's delivery to Hall was deplorable. Maybe I just overlooked his influence - I wouldn't say Scarlett was bad, but did he shut Hall down or did Sydney?

5. J Rooke - The obvious reasons, but I was almost tempted to give him 4 because of his weak tag on Goodes
4. M Scarlett - Never looked like being beaten
3. J Bartel - So very calm and collected
2. P Chapman - Hard at it, as usual
1. D Johnson - Did all the right things, and that mark at the end was superb

Apologies to Corey, S Johnson, Otto

Sydney were terrible at delivering to Hall, but when they did Scarlett had him covered...

Sydney's delivery to Hall was only terrible because the pressure the midfielders were applying to the ball carrier and where Scarlett forced Hall to lead in order to gain a stat.

Scarlett was brilliant yesterday.

Although Goodes got 28 touches, I don't think he was very damaging at all. It seemed to me most his kicks were to the boundary or missed their target, probably due to the pressure he was put under.

And many of his touches were on the half back line, and were not 'on the run' which is where he is so damaging. Rooke halted his running through the lines. So, when Goodes is standing still with the ball across half back, he's as useful as anyone else in the team - you can't do a lot from there.
Well done to Rooke - no way did he do a weak tag job on Goodes!:thumbsu:

5. Scarlett (is there anything this man CANT do??)
4. Rookie
3. Corey
2. Chappie (NOT David Johnson)
1. D Johnson (NOT Paul Chapman... im looking in your direction, Herald Sun)

AND special mention to the guy who is my NEW favourite player (sorry i couldnt fit ya in my votes).. Big Bad Bazza Hall :D :D
