:tearsofjoy:

5. Kelly. Stood up in the battle inside and outside.
4. Sculls. fought and ran and then fought and ran some more.
3. Dylan first name status from me. Sublime and tough.
2. Haynes. Pressure no problem more of stoppers role than a rebounder this week I thought.
1. Davis. Did what a good fullback does all night.

Really proud of the whole team

What the hell....

5 Scully - finished the year well and full of running, has added a bit of hardness, I want more of the same next season
4 Kelly - mixed it with the bulldogs, classy as ever, can hold his head high
3 Greene - popped up for a few sensational goals, always a threat
2 Lobb - stacks of contested marks at either end, was almost the difference
1 Haynes - right up there with Easton Wood as the intercept mark king, unfortunately it has to be said, allowed his then direct opponent, McCrae to slip out the back door to put dogs ahead late in game, a blot on what was an excellent game otherwise

Really proud of all of them
Somewhat unusual points allocation ;)

5 Shiel, was everywhere we needed him to be and did what needed to be done
4 Patton, with JC going AWOL he was our only legitimate forward option
3 Mummy, great game all round, especially his non ruck work
Can't split these three so allocating 15, not 54321
1 Whitfield, loved everything about his game and unlike Scully and Kelly didn't butcher the ball
1 Lobb, seriously, resign this guy whatever it takes.
1 Greene, drifted in and out a bit but his "on" efforts were telling.

5 Sheil
4 Kelly
3 Scully
2 Haynes
1 Whitfield

5 - Haynes (the most underrated intercept mark in the AFL, held the line while under siege in the 1H)
4 - Scully (unrivalled in the AFL)
3 - Cogs (delivered as always, with even harder yards without Cal - the Orange Postman)
2 - Patton (delivered key marks and goals)
2 - Whitfield (ending 2016 with a bang)
1 - Greene (smother and goal was genius from our AA hero)

5 Greene - looked most likely up forward
4 Sheil - best game for a month
3 Cogs - like Sheil, stood up in Wards absence
2 Whitfield - great finals series
1 Scully - best engine in the AFL

I found this really heard to divvy up - no absolute standout for me, and about 9 guys worthy of some recognition.
5 - Tom Scully: another great effort from Sculls, has been a breakout year for him & the team and worked tirelessly throughout the PF
4 - Toby Greene: also a breakout year for him and worked himself to exhaustion in this game, his smother/goal shows he is such a fighter!
3 - Nick Haynes: another brilliant effort intercepting marks in the PF, just one too many for him to manage
2 - Rory Lobb: demonstrated why he is so important to GWS in the PF, taking marks as both ends of the ground, plus kicked well: will only get better
1 - Lachie Whitfield: one of his best games for GWS, really worked hard, kicked accurately & provided much of our transition from defence into attack (just a word, though, whacking other players is not your forte!)
The players I wanted to score but left out were: Shiel, Kelly, Cogs & Patton.

5 - Sculls - great game and terrific to perform so well on the big stage
4 - Uncle Toby - worked hard to stay in the game and did some pretty special things at times
3 - Haynes - capped off a wonderful year and second only to Heater
2 - Shiel - really stepped up with Cal down
1 - Whitfield - easy to underrate his game, but runs both ways and has as good a defensive game as attack

5 - Toby Greene - looked like he might be the match-winner for a while
4 - Rory Lobb - took over at time, not bad for game 35
3 - Nick Haynes - marked everything across half-back despite the deluge of inside 50s (45-68!)
2 - Tom Scully - kept running
1 - Shane Mumford - took over in the ruck after Jordan Roughead went off

I thought Mumford was disappointing considering he only broke even with Boyd
