But they would probably all have dickie knees, like milli and his old man. On a side note, milli asked my sister out in a nightclub about 6-7 years ago and she said no. She reckoned she didn't know who he was until later  Would have been cool to have an Eagle in the family...

5 - Banfield - 200 games and I'm a sentimentalist - no, really, apart from one OOF I don't think he made a mistake under enormous pressure and was hugely constructive - and kept the dangerous Ablett under control
4 - Fletcher - only midfielder to win his position and kept us in the game at times
3 - McIntosh - outstanding display at the back under pressure
2 - Embley - fumbled early, but seemed to rise when needed to make a contest and played like a midfielder
1 - Gardiner - manful performance against 2 opponents, with little support, not his fault the midfielders were thrashed

Chick & Judd were brilliant in patches only and I couldn't fit them into the votes on reflection. Green nearly got a vote with his goals and Sampi is an excitement machine, but cost us that goal when he didn't go for the ball (left it for the weary Cousins) and should have goaled instead of shepherding for Jako. Carroll did quite well too.

Real character win. My heart isn't going to take much more of this.

He may not have had his best game, but to say he was poor is a bit of an overstatement.
Yeh Corey had a lot of footy, but did he really damage us with it?
Judd may have only had 10 possies less than Corey, but he was far more damaging than him.
The amount of times he ran the ball out of defence when we struggled to get clean hands on it was awesome.
When we needed a lift near the end he provided with a great goal that won us the game.
His last quarter was outstanding and showed his ability yet again to turn it on when it's most necessary.
2 votes in my mind was deserved.

Vicki voted for him too!
He had 13 possesions and he took 6 marks! Not a bad effort imo! Plus he displayed some leadership skills when they were needed the most! ;) :D

5. Chick - praise the lord for him, he did virtually all the grunt work in the middle, and when the game is on the line, there was no better player.

4. Fletcher - Others were arguing about what Corey did against Judd, well, the reason I didn't give Fletch 5 was that Johnson, three times kicked uncontested goals.

3. Judd - When the game was on the line, there was only one better player. The game had to be won, and the cream rose to the top. For my two cents, yes he has to work on the defensive side of the game, but boy, I'd be more worried about Corey's defensive side of his game given the last 30 minutes, care to disagree?

2. McIntosh - held the back line together, big job next week.

1. Banfield - history will show that his job on Ablett jnr was a top effort.

5 - Chick (only player showing he will consistently put his head over the ball)
4 - McIntosh (AA Fullback maybe?)
3 - Banfield (great mop-up role in his 200th)
2 - Sampi (surely a Rising Star nomination is coming his way this week)
1 - Fletcher (leading possession man at WCE, who would have thought it)

Apologies: Embley, Green.

Votes very spread out this week - Jod can you do a table with the votes just for the last game. I think they would've been the closest they have been for any of the games this year.

Im almost the late person this week :D

5 - Fletcher - just got a ton of the ball and he kept our midfield a float. Had he not got so much of the ball we may have lost because our midfield recieved a spanking.

4 - Chick - justs get's in there and does the hard stuff. Another fantastic 4 quarter effort and am now extremely happy we got him instead of Headland (Judd/Polack ring a bell) Thanks Whoosha.

3 - McIntosh - who honestly said he should have retired before the start of the season. Fools you were...ALL OF YOU!! :D Even if his knees give way now and cant play out the season, he has already being a big reason in 2 or 3 WC wins.

2 - Green - was pretty good down back and then when shifted up forward was vital in the last quarter. He kicked two absolute pressure goals which gave us the lead. He stood pretty tall in the last quarter.

1 - Banfield - played a Wirrpundaesque type game down back, mopping everything up in a besieged backline. Held together well but im sure he will welcome back Wirrpunda hopefully this weekend.

Apologies to Jako who was good at both ends of the ground, Embers who continues to have his break out year, Sampi, Gardiner and Carroll all deserve a mention too.
