"Liberal and Labor are the same" isn't true. Liberals is full of ultra captalists who'd love to decrease your wages and increase your healthcare costs and tax burden. If you're gay, have the wrong skin colour, or have an 'unkempt' look they'll be extra happy to do it.

The biggest lie is them pretending they aren't exactly the same and wouldn't take any position to gain power.

No....I've just never enrolled to vote.

I wish I had thought of that, I really can't be arsed voting today and I'm in Julie Bishop's electorate so it makes no difference who you vote for as she will shit it in again.

The party you vote #1 for gets $2.62 per vote (if they get over 4%).

Quite the venue they have set up at my local.

Live band, radio station broadcast, food and beverage market, craft and second hand goods market before reaching the crap stuff just outside the booth door.

Pirate party and sex party been knocked off 1 and 2 for me. Voted 1 derryn. Was very annoying having to pick 6 parties though.

Will be voting Greens. Hopefully there's a sausage sizzle as I've never seen one in my almost decade of voting.

This is what I did as well. Was going to vote for the sex party, but they didn't have a candidate in our electorate.

Just gone and done it. Phone died the second I stepped out the house, queue was massive and they'd run out of snags. My voting experience really paralleled the quality of the candidates.

I dislike major party collusion.

When you look at the choices we have in the safe Labor ward of Corio you'd understand why a single policy party is preferable to the rest of the shower of shit options available.

Disappointing that Corio is such a safe seat (Clifton Springs resident here) as nothing will ever get done. You won't see the same pork-barrelling that's happened in neighbouring Corangamite - a very marginal seat - and so low-income suburbs such as Newcomb, Norlane, Corio will continue to lag behind in terms of health, education, jobs etc. A real shame that politics has become about winning votes in this manner.

Libs were the pick of the bunch for me in the House of Reps despite the Abbott/Turnbull reign. Otherwise it was a choice between Richard Marles (done SFA for the reasons outlined above), crazies such as Rise Up Australia/Socialist Alliance, several one-issue parties (e.g. Bullet Train), and the Greens who are purely concerned with appeasing Labor to win seats.
