I'm actually embarrassed South Australia is part of Australia

Can we sell it to New Zealand for some sheep?

Don't want too many sheep either just enough to make a sign that says "DONT COME BACK"

I turned it off when stringer kicked his second goal
We all thought wed run over them after that.

Then Bob kicked the ball into the middle of the ground to can't remember Hamling/Roberts who dropped it and Adelaide locked the ball into their half for the next 5-6 minutes and made it tough for us before eventually hitting the front.

Just don't get why Bob didn't go down the line with that kick.

MD never personally engaged you, i like your views on the board even if i don't agree with them sometimes or they are against the mainstream, they are still your views and deserve to be heard as much as any of us.

Out of interest mate, how old are you?

Really coincidentally, it was the 3rd oldest team you've put on the park this year, but the most experienced according to games.
It was also the 3rd oldest team the Crows had on the park this year and ... the most experienced according to games.

Your oldest this year was 25y 76d against the Tiges in R2. Our oldest was 25y 86d against the Power in R5.

Your youngest was against us in R4 23y 32d, ours was 24y 96d R8 v Giants.

So not as different as expected.

(And don't worry, I'm using the 22 who played on the day, according to afltables.com, not trying to pass it off as "the squads".)
MattyB enjoy the win mate, time to leave us here and go onto the hawks board anf troll them about hodgey getting on the piss.

wasn't bobs fault that roberts dropped a mark that a person in a wheelchair at the florida beach retirement home would have marked pups.

Too old to be on here ;)

haha cmon MD you are not dalrymple on draft night time to share the love with your fellow BF colleagues. I thought you have been around the traps just interested to see how many of them you have been aroud

I'm 38 my friend and you wouldn't really want to know what traps I've been around trust me :)

It's never Bobs fault

Betcha if someone else pulled that kick (Biggs for etc) the majority of the board would've been laying the finger at them.

I've been critical on some of his decision making lately and imo it was a low percentage high risk kick that just wasn't the time for it imo as we were infront, winning a stoppage from a boundary throw in across half forward was the way to go.

Yes Roberts should've marked it but the perceived pressure got to him (low on confidence also).

good stuff MD i'm 36 so in the realm of understanding your mentality, but i'm sure i could handle the traps you have been around after living in asia for almost 10 years, don't think there is too much i haven't seen. Hope we can have a beer one day when i move back home would thoroughly enjoy it :thumbsu:

i think pups if anyone pulled that kick and it was slightly off the mark and put them under pressure, they would deservedly be copping it, but it was cm perfect and roberts just ****ed it up under zero pressure, so lets be honest you can't blame Bob for that

There's some middle ground here in that Murph took a massive unnecessary risk with the kick but executed perfectly and Fletch should've marked it.

well if you have lived in those place i think beer is the least of our worries if we cross paths, and probably longjing tea which is china's finest from my hometown won't cut it either. i'll be in touch next year when i'm back home my friend.

fair enough mike but that is what makes champions champions backing themselves in when others wouldn't, lets be honest even Matt fuller or Zeno Tztataris could have taken that mark under no pressure.

I think there was plenty of inferred pressure especially as it was a final, doesn't excuse the dropped mark but it may be a reason for it.
As for the risk, it depends, if we were a point down fair enough, but we were 8 points up with 5 minutes to go. Pump it into our forwardline.

Do us all a favour and feck right off back to your crow hole.

We don't care what you think you won well done now move on. I and many of us have no time for your football club due to its supporters and the fact that most of them are complete &:$&:&4&8.

So off you go and id wish you luck for Friday but that would be a lie I hope you lose and lose well.

Some of the behaviour of your fans on Saturday that I've heard about on top of what I have experienced makes me hate you ;$3&&;&!; even more and I curse you and everyone that wears that jumper to a lifetime of herpes and any other horrible ailment that mangles your genitals :)

Have a shite week enjoying your win as you should, and I can't wait to see Danger in blue and white hoops and listen to your hatred at a VICTORIAN when he leaves your cease pool.

Don't respond I banish you to the unseen realm of nothingness, much like the atmosphere in Adelaide on a weekend.

Cheers have a glass of lovely brown tap water for me
Spray of the Week. :thumbsu:

Points of interest (especially if you can't read it):
  • Our top 5 in order were Dahl, Hunter, Dickson, Morris and Murphy.
  • Bont only ranked mid-table this week (but he's now 11th ranked in the league ... just ahead of a bloke by the name of Franklin)
  • Matthew Boyd a distant last in the rankings :(
  • Caleb Daniel got more ranking points in a quarter than Honey did in 3 quarters and Boyd, Grant and Roberts got in a whole game.
  • Lin Jong got more points than Bont, Macrae, Crameri or Stringer
  • Sloane the legitimate BoG for Adelaide - we dominated the third quarter and should have put them away then. That was his only quiet quarter.

This thing is about as useful as a hatful of a$$holes

Doesn't count time around the ball and errors in relation to output.

For a simple guide on who made the less mistakes compared to good efforts it counts but other than than its unfair to blokes that get plenty of it and only use it ok and great to guys who don't get it much but use it well

Bob hit the target in the corridor, so hardly his fault. I think it was Roberts who spilled the mark he should have taken. It was a costly error at a key moment in the last quarter. But he isn't the only one who made mistakes.

I don't agree with the criticisms of Murphy squaring it to Roberts or Crameri blazing away from 40-50m. The sad fact is that these actions didn't pay off on Saturday, but you have to put it into context.

Those sorts of plays are what makes us such an exciting team to watch and gives us the potential to beat any team in the league on our day. We take the risks and on balance we have been getting the rewards.

We have been playing like that all year. Crameri has scored quite a few of his 32 goals when he's been on the run 40-50m out. Murphy has been slicing open defences all year with daring vision and accurate delivery. If they stop doing those things then we become a poorer and more predictable team.

Haha. A predictable response since it paints Jong in a good light. ;)

But I'm gunna sic threenewpadlocks onto you, MD ... you'll be sorry!

I just watched the replay, we had all the momentum at that time straight after Stringer's goal and 2 players were on for the short pass (and expecting the short pass) if Bob went up the line.

I'm with Hangzhou on this one.

Murphy used the corridor and hit his target with precision kicking. No way can he be blamed.

As for hitting the boundary line - easy to say in hindsight. The guy backed himself for the more attacking option which has been our game plan all year. The game was still in the balance as there was plenty of time left. Had there only been 1 or 2 minutes, then you could make a case for kicking backwards or down the line. But quite simply he took the attacking option with the game in the balance.

Sloane was excellent when he had the ball in his hands, much the same as Riley Knight.

Didn't expect Sloane to be the number 1 ranked player out there however, didn't think he got enough of it.
