Already admitted Dickson stood up tonight and nearly won us the game. Hand up the man has done so much more than I ever thought he would

Won't admit Jongs a footballer coz it will never happen honestly in the top 5 worst dogs players I've ever seen and I'm sick to death of the experiment

Maybe I'm a harsh old man but I actually get embarrassed at times seeing him playing for us. Cue abuse but saying it as I see it

No surprises, J grant the head case let us down in a final, our Kpd quality exposed, Roberts was nearly worst on ground IMO. Jong improved later but was poor in the heat early. No surprises here.

Full marks for trying their guts out. Good season well done, pat on the back for the boys for a great season and another 'honourable' finals loss..

I'm actually a Grant fab but as I see it his biggest issue is he only plus when he decides we wants to.

Drifts in and out of games and his goal kicking is poor.

Like Hunter at times he looks disinterested

Being honest I really don't know what to do with him anymore coz he has all the tools to rip games apart but doesn't use them and will he ever

With guys like him Infeel it's a personality trait, no assertive enough to demand the ball and doesn't have the football nous to just be where the ball is going. So he flashes in and out.

Just a quick pop in to commiserate. Freaking super game to watch. Serious pity about a few of the set shot misses.

You guys will be top 4 next year for sure.

A few thoughts on the game...

Firstly to our idiotic supporters who chanted "Bont, Bont, Bont" as he was lining up for two set shots in the third, that only increases the pressure on the kicker. It doesn't help him kick the goal. Chant after he puts it though you idiots!!!

For a team as inexperienced as us, we are incredibly brave and determined. On a number of occasions they broke away to a 2 and a half goal lead but we pegged them back each time. Young teams buckle. Young teams in finals look lost. We didn't.

Dickson was a godsend, whoever that poster was that continues to say he isn't up to it, I hope you are a little bashful again tonight.

Bont was awesome, missed a few he should have kicked but he's a kid playing his first final at the MCG. That doesn't mean he accepts that. As a driven player he'll work on that and start nailing them, I guarantee it. It's all about growth.

Grant was Grant. Some great pressure and a wonderful chase and tackle, and some ordinary set shots. He can do it, kicked a clutch one in the last quarter.

Dahl was terrific again, he is close to the most consistent player in the Comp. Never has a bad game.

Jong was one of our better players, and those that don't think he played well are either hell bent on putting him down or just don't watch and understand games of footy. There was one contest in the final quarter where he should have punched instead of trying to mark (danger took the grab) and one third man up that he should have stayed down for, but apart from that he hit the packs hard, was strong in the air, and kicked goals.

Shattered we lost. Loved the atmosphere. Loved playing finals at the G. Love being a dogs fan. We will be back, and we will be better.

Well ladies and gents, it's been a pleasure! What a season it's been, better than what most of us ever thought possible, but still as gut wrenching as ever. Have enjoyed all the contributions, ones I've agreed with and other I haven't, in the end we all want the same thing.
Time for me to become a lurker as I know very little about drafting and trading so will look forward to leaving it to all of you and reading your input over the off season!
2016 looks to be exciting! First challenge, coping with the inevitable expectation that will come. But I think we have a group of players that will want to right a few wrongs and do it quickly, and I have no doubt they will. The most exciting group of youngsters I've seen at the club, strap on your seat belts it's gonna be a wild ride!

Stringer has missed set shots. When Murph drifts forward he's missed some.

Frankly our set shot kicking is our achilles heel - Dickson is our only set shot gun.

We need to nail that shit in 2016.

Honestly...Kicking for goal has been an issue for us for the past few years. It's no secret we have only one player on the list who can kick set shots. Hopefully this is what spurs them on to really focus on practicing them. Can't dominate patches of games but not be rewarded on the scoreboard. That, as we've seen not only tonight but in other games in the past few seasons, comes back to bite in a big way.

I know I'm normally a strong supporter of Grant but if he had kicked 2.0 instead of 0.2 we would have won. He's not a kid anymore needs to convert his set shots else I (sadly) think it's probably time to move on. Not a knee jerk reaction, he's had this problem all year. He did do some nice things but god he needs to take his chances

Only fair we direct the same criticism at Bont!

Mate, it's ok to think that Jong won't make it and have a different opinion to the majority on here, but you don't need to be so extreme in everything you say. I sincerely doubt he is one of the worst five dogs players you've ever seen. Instead of exaggerating everything, maybe say "I don't think Jong will make it, but then again, I don't know everything, that's just my opinion".

If you wanna talk about facts: Lin Jong is a footballer. In fact, he is a professional footballer. You are not more likely to play 200 games than him (I believe you claimed this earlier), because he is on an AFL list and you are not.
