Thoughts on cordy performance tonight. Also good work by jong

Did a ton of work around the ground and showed some clean work beneath his knees also. Bit clumsy when he caught Laird in the back of the head but that was completely accidental.

Was so good to see Crows supporters leaving at the 10 min mark of the last qtr.

What a team effort, our defence and pressure was amazing. I think Webb is the successor to Rob Murphy as our back line general. Impressed by his intercept marking.

We sacrificed a bit of our dominance around the clearances in order to have a more mobile ruck who means that our structre was better. Cordy covered defensive space really well.

When we throw Libba and Wallis back into that midfield we'll be on top in contested ball and clearances, the only area of the ground where we lost.

Aycewatch final:
K H D M HO FF FA T G B AF
4-6-10-2-13--0--2--3 1-0 55

Jacobs:

Infinitely better scoring power

Here I was a few months ago upgrading my membership so I could get down and watch the Bont, Stringer, Boyd etc up close while accepting we'd be down the bottom end.

Fast forward to now, and well...

Let's keep a little perspective, we are still a young side and will fall away a little later in the year. Having said that, we are going to worry some teams expected to smash us.

That's the big thing, teams can't just go in and expect to win against us now.

Beaten in the ruck BUT
Are we a better side with Ayce in or Minson out? Minson is a block to good ball movement IMO. Perhaps one of Ayces' biggest plusses is he isn't a block, or at least as much of one.

Brisbane twice & St Kilda twice and Melbourne twice

I've been laughing at anyone remotely suggesting finals for us.

Now I'm not so sure. On exposed form, there's another six wins right there, taking us to nine.

You need at least 12 and possibly 13 to get in. GC, Carlton, GWS and Pies all very beatable.

Dare to dream.

Jacobs dominated the ruck but Ayce clearly won the battle around the ground.

Almost certainly part of the match committees plan, evidenced by the number of times we had a player go 3rd up in the around the ground ruck contests.

It would be churlish in the extreme to knock Ayces effort in todays game. Having said that, haters gonna...

Ineresting view, Ayce got smashed in the ruck, abolutely butchered but was good at the bottom of packs. Best ruckmen i have seen for dogs, Wynd and Hudson were both good on the ground also but Ayce has still alot of work to do on todays effort even though it was better then last couple

Can't wait to get home and watch the replay. So glad Sandy Roberts commentated. My favourite at the moment. All time was Rex. Commetti still very good though.

Fantastic win today, so bloody impressive. We might actually play finals this year with an easy finish? Wow.

So much potential in this group too. We could be anything

Fugging yes! Fugging sweet!!! Haven't had this much fun at the footy since 2008.

Everyone contributing is the most important thing, can't name them all but I loved Roughy and Talia's games, Webb looks like he's played 50 games already, the midfield are all just going flat out at it, backing each other up and tackling like maniacs, and then off course there's Bob and Jake... wow.

Sneaky chance at finals.
