Anyone who saw Coburg V Nth Ballarat on Sunday would have to agree with me when i say Troy Taylor will be a very strong chance if not a definite for this week against the Dees. Ball on a string.;)

Arms as long as his legs, sticky mits, laconic, aggresive and agile.
This kid could possibly the biggest steal of last years draft. The sooner he plays the better IMO.:thumbsu:

I agree and would love to see him get a chance this weekend too.

"This kid could possibly the biggest steal of last years draft."

Interesting choice of words, lets just hope he can put four good quarters together and not go walkabout hey!

Just because we have suspended 4 blokes does mean Matt White deserves to stay in the side. He is pathetic, doesn't get near it and he can't use it, yet he is an AFL midfielder.....WHAT A JOKE!

Ins - Dea (good VFL form deserves a game), Webberley (shown enough), Thursfield, Taylor (VFL form), Collins (kid showed last year he is good enough for top level)

Outs - Connors, Polo, McGuane, Cousins, White

those ins cover the outs pretty well and give more kids a go. I'd add roberts to the list of outs.

Just read on the AFL site under the heading "in the mix round 4" Gourdis could be called up this week, is he not on the rookie list?

Good to hear that Troy Taylor is performing strongly in the VFL. Would love to see him get a game against Melbourne this week. No doubt he would add another dimension to your forward line, as well as a lot of defensive pressure. He is the type of player that people will go to the football to watch, and that can only be a good thing.

Also just to let you guys know, I did call the position of Taylor's #1 Fan back in October. Once he gets his AFL debut, I'm expecting some competition for that position. :)

Good luck this week.

You heard it from me first - Tigers for the upset this week. F**k I know I said this round one, but after actually watching them, I have a more informed opinion.

We aren't as bad as the media are making us out to be. I can see us bursting out of the blocks, our pressure being too much for Melbourne and being up by about 20-30 points at half time.

We aren't that far from winning. Example. Second quarter against Sydney. We dominated most of the quarter - we had the first 4 inside 50's, but just couldn't finish. We won the I50's for that quarter.
If we had finished, confidence goes up, we get better.
Instead we don't finish, lowering confidence, then we make a couple of easy mistakes and all our pressure and work of the last ten minutes has gone to nothing as they kick two or three goals. All our 50/50 shots were missing, all theirs were going through.

I'm trying not to sound like those supporters who are constantly optimistic to the point of stupidity, though hopefully the reasons I have detailed have proven enough for others to see my humble point of view.

I have also been a fan of Tambling. But this year has been sh*t. He needs to be dropped. Deledio also needs to be warned that if he doesn't pick up his game he will be dropped.

Please tell me if I'm missing anyone that should be in (Foley should have another week in the twos)
Out: Connors, Cousins, McGuane, Polo, Tambling, (Roberts only if injured)
In: Collins, Taylor, Thursfield, Dea, Astbury, (Webberley)

Lol, damn those pesky journos for reading the scoreboard after the game.

how can everyone still have roberts in the team

he has done nothing last game was the worst i've seen from anyone in along time
he didn't run ,chase or even look like getting into the game

You know you're going badly when Melbourne supporters jump onto your bad and tell you to "stick with it, it takes time" etc.

Even more embarrassing when they start telling you:

"Jamar could be a handful in the ruck, winning the clearences will be crucial i think"

I almost swallowed my tongue when l saw Mark Jamar being nominated as the match winner. FFS, that poor excuse for a footballer is a filthy puppet.

Every opposition suppporter base has told us this over the years, I reckon, and now the Dees supporters are onto it.

Where does that leave us? :D

LMAO, this cracked me up.

Anyways, should be a good contest this week. Dees looking to build some more momentum, and the Tigers obviously under pressure to get a win, or at least be competitive.

Sylvia back is a huge in for us, and the forced changes for the Tigers wont help.

Gonna be great to see the top 3 picks from the national draft out there too.

Jamar is the current All Australian ruckman on form, the the Tigers till need to curb him to make a match of it.

Demons by 28 for mine.

Will be interesting to see the INS for this week...hopefully its not the usual Richmond selections of players who have no future, players who get dropped for a week and do nothing in the 2's but get a call up regardless.

NO to King, Hislop, Nahas

As a supporter of the team that have been the league whipping post the last 3 years, and one that usually loses games they are supposed to win even in our finals years this game makes me nervous.

I also have a fond spot for Richmond due to family that followed them for years.

Using that as my gameday criteria I am predicting a close game.

Your forced changes haven't helped your cause (yet I applaud you taking the tough stance, its needed - we did the same).

All in all I hope its a good game with my team bias hoping for a Melbourne win by about 3-5 goals.

DL.

Surley Thursty will return to cover McG as FB with Posty at CHB

Polo and Connors out - well Id expect Tambles to go back to his hbf role that Connors was playing, otherwise its McMahon in, and, well, this would be the game for him, particularly as Tambling has been lacking impact.

Id like to see Dea get a run, and from the Coburg writeups he has been showing something.

Need a mid to cover Cuz, who has been less than exciting this year, I really expected better, and failing to handle Connors doesnt look good for any other role either. I was really hoping to be able to keep him for a couple of years but now I just dont care- bring on the kids!

Collins in for Cuz. Hope he is up to speed.

Collins, Dea, Thursty, Polly, Taylor (TT for RR - would like to have both of them at some point, would like either of them to be match fit!)

Polly to do a spot of rucking perhaps and give Simmo some time in the goalsquare, give some extra space to MM JR. Havent heard much of Polak other than playing fwd- if he is too far off form well, we are going to have to shift someone back to cover the outs, if we give Astbury a run, I think Polly has the flexibility to free up Vikery and Simmo on occasion, and we need more out of both of them.
