You're right of course. He was a slim chance to kick the set shot. Playing on the way he did improved his chances substantially.

When Polec sent us inside 50 in the second last play Reid got an unimpeded, uncontested spoil in, that pretty much neutralized and killed the game. Why did we have 3 players standing behind the ball? You either don’t risk and lose by a kick or risk and win the game??

Only one player needs to be back. We had 2 at the minimum rendered uselsss. Has he not ****ing learnt anything in 10 years ffs

Almost as if he had a serious looking knee injury a few weeks back that surprised most people when they said he'd be a 'test' chance to play the following week.

Not saying he played well. He was bad. But I definitely reckon he's not right. In which case we should play someone who is.

Nah all those players robotically standing in a web making sure they guard a very particular piece of grass is completely natural and just shows how little talent our list has, apparently.

Polec should be applauded for nearly single handedly dragging us to victory with his efforts.

And yet nobody can compliment the service he delivered inside 50 by taking that mark. Not one clutch mark was taken inside 50 at critical moments, the only one who took solid marks was Larkey and they didn't even get paid.

The umps were woeful....but game should have been over at 3-4 time anyway. We didn't deserve to win.
THere is no papering over that second and third quarter debacle. Against a half strength Sydney side at our home away from home.
Last quarter was like groundhog day, in 10 years under Scott we have never been able to come from behind and we cannot execute a plan to counter a heavy defensive flood. How many times over a decade have we seen us 3-4 goals down at the last change and dominate the last quarter, only to bomb away long repeatedly to opposition numbers and fail to score. That just does not change and is a hallmark of Brad's teams.

100% agreed. Just don’t see the point of playing underdone players when we

a) are zero chance of playing finals
b) at full fitness they offer as little as McDonald has recently
c) keep a fit, young player out of the side. And before everyone launches into me about how we don’t have a like for like replacement in the VFL... it’s not like our back six is setting the world in fire as is so why not MIX IT UP LIKE... EVER?!

Yet we could be 900 points up at HT under Brad and I’d still be convinced we could bottle it. He just CANNOT EVER curb momentum or harness it.
