Almost as if he had a serious looking knee injury a few weeks back that surprised most people when they said he'd be a 'test' chance to play the following week.

Not saying he played well. He was bad. But I definitely reckon he's not right. In which case we should play someone who is.

I get sometimes the midfield is under siege but as a specialist lock down defender he needs to be better than that. 4 goals and the effort on the ball out the back that Papsmear toe poked through was a disgrace. Also the kick that was smothered in the middle of the ground when he took forever to dispose of it.
I get he had a tragedy last week but when you declare yourself fit your good to go.
Collingwood cut him for a reason and it was so Crisp and Maynard could flourish and perhaps it was the right call by Collingwood.
The Marley of 2017 hasn’t reappeared this year or last.

Barely a player can pass effectively
And every week you can see the players panic....they panic cos they feel under pressure...and when they are under pressure the skills just get worse and worse

So you can say that individually and collectively the Players are Just NotThat Good
Pretty much impossible to argue with this now

I am not pushing getting rid of the Older players but we do have to play the Youngsters and get Pick 1 or 2,preferably both

Scott is still trying to save his job by bringing in what he considers to be his best side.

Unfortunately they are either not fit, not capable, or more likely, he has lost the group.

It is time the club wakes up and smells the shit.

We are woeful and the club needs significant change.

Or the members will walk en masse.

I have purchased family memberships for years.

I have family who played for Nth in the 70s and 80s.

We turn up to family days and support the players.

It is about time some of that faith by our supporters was repaid.

I think about how much some of these 22 - 27 year old kids are paid, and I watch what some of them do week in and week out and I shudder.

Unless there are significant changes I am done.

And anyone who wants to come at me with the old argument about "support the club or they will go under" - do your best.

This loss has so many sides to it , I’m not even sure where look .umpires were horrendous , Midfield were murdered in the contest and coaching was inflexible . My biggest worry is that when we make mistakes we are punished heavily with our seemingly inability to defend whether that be in transition or our backline trying to defend 1v1 . I’m truly flabbergasted that tonight when Sydney chose to have a spare back ( the smart move ) we chose to have our spare at the contest & after the first 1/4 when we were winning the ball but due to slippery conditions and Sydney’s pressure we were turning the ball over you need to know at that point to make an adjustment in the way you are playing in regards to either pushing a spare back or evening up their spare with a player of our own . Crazy stuff .

Nah all those players robotically standing in a web making sure they guard a very particular piece of grass is completely natural and just shows how little talent our list has, apparently.

Our severe lack of onfield smarts and any feel for the game has hurt us on so many occasions.
When Reid went deep into our 50 Thompson or Tarrant or Wood should have gone with him. The difference between Scott and Longmire is that Allir followed his man forward last year and kicked the match winner. Ours stayed where Brad instructs them to.

No arguments from me, but you seem to target him a lot given you usually jump down the throat of anyone else criticising the club and coach. Shaun's got more than a few credits in the bank.

I think the criticism of Brown is a little harsh to be honest. We know the high ball and double teaming isn't his thing. Delivery and lack of options/hard work from other forwards were the issue for me, that and being the dumbest team in the competition.

Umpiring was incredibly frustrating and inconsistent, but ultimately we failed to get up against a **** team decimated by in game injuries.

Our gameplan is bad, and made worse by a fair few dumb players, and a few of the smarter one playing below their standard. IT all starts at the bounce and **** just gets worse from their. Between our obsession with having bipolar players loose in our defence while opposition guns are loose in theirs, and our hatred of short direct kicks to move the ball forward, we just sabotage ourself at every opportunity.

I'm close to checking out. If I don't take a break from the sport I'm worried that both the industry and my club are going to get worse and I'll end up just giving it away completely.

I got to the point you’re at a couple of seasons. Haven’t attended a game for a very long time and apart from three quarters against Brisbane last year, I haven’t watched a game on tv since the start of last season. I still care enough to read about the games here or on Facebook but I don’t want to get emotionally involved with North as it stands. It’s just too frustrating watching a talented group waste their time. The standards set by the powers that be and the coaching staff are wasting a lot of supporters time IMHO. If the people in charge don’t relieve Brad Scott of his duties then they themselves need to be removed. I only need to read the posts here to know I’ve not missed anything because it was the same shit two years ago, four years ago and six years ago. The club needs an emergency injection of hope or things will be very dire when the finances and membership levels are being looked at early 2020.

I truly dont understand how and why McMillan and McDonald can get games every single week. They simply don't offer anything close to AFL standard. Not surprised with that rubbish tonight.
