Cupboard obviously bare in the midfield. With Simpkin below par, we lacked class in the middle. We missed Higgins big time. Or more out of Ziebell and Ahern. Would have been nice to have Jacobs go to Merrett like they had Clarke go to Cunners.

Cunnington needs to sort out his lack of composure when tagged. He also needs help.

Our forward line was excellent, and defence pretty good too given how many times the ball went in there. Brown dominant and Hurley going off wasn’t a factor.

Watching what MTW produced and comparing to Hrovat - who did some good things - shows what a difference a quality small forward is. Who knows, maybe Taylor will become that guy? I dunno, but we need a small forward that can do what LT could do. Haven’t found him yet.

I dunno. Not sure to make of that game. Overall we got reamed by Razor and were poor for long periods and still nearly won despite our kids on the whole not firing and having some important players not playing (not that the media will mention that), I think the future is pretty bright. I think I will take a bit out of that game.
