Demarte is a favourite and possibly leading the colts bnf this year. Gets plenty of the ball playing hf and hits the scoreboard with ease !!
His soccer goal on the weekend was next level

So why is it wilson never gets a mention about maybe getting drafted this year he is 18 in oct averrages 29 disposals per game top ren in tackles and marks as well and leader in disposals ????
Wilson is a great footballer. He's able to cover the ground extremely well and his skills are fairly solid. He is fairly limited though and AFL recruiters would see that he's one-paced, he's not overly strong in the contest, and he doesn't get a lot of distance on his kicks. If he bulks up a little bit he's probably a good WAFL footballer, a poor man's Aaron Black (no slouch in his own right) but doesn't have a lot of 'star' attributes or things that set him apart from the pack that AFL clubs like in young draftees.

to be fair i’ve watched a lot of south fremantle games and this year Wilson is quite strong in the legs, in the contest he rarely gets pushed of the ball in contested situations he wins a lot of hard ball gets and out reads the other midfielders at winning the ball at stoppages.

Also you mentioned about Wilson’s kicking i don’t see what you mean about his long kicking as for 1 example i was watching the SF vs EP game and Wilson had a beautiful running goal from 50m out straight from the ball up in the pouring rain and it cleared the line with a fair distance too.

I don't have the technical expertise to do it but perhaps friends, family members could put together a five minute highlight reel for players like Christian Wilson with permission from Streamer.

It could be posted here and on youtube etc.

It might get some attention from recruiters, scouts and observers.

In fact, I think there are 6 or 7 colts players who just missed out on state selection who could each come up with a great 5 minute highlights video.

Only because I keep seeing him perform every game with some saying he can't make the AFL through lack of height and no big pace offset. I note Hagan had his league debut on the weekend and gathered a lazy 20 disp, 5 tackles, 4 marks and 2 goals off half forward. Cakewalk game but he just keeps stepping up every time. Been transitioned from mid, to half-back to half forward and it doesn't seem to matter where he goes, he never loses his individual battle.
He's going to confuse some decision makers.

How can you post it on here please explain as it comes up to large do u have email address then u can download???

Couldn't have said it any better good to see someone that actually watches the games post on here great observation 👍

I don't really understand the question mate.

But this is the streamer site and every South Fremantle game for the season is listed under replays. Then it's a matter of recording the specific highlights of Christian and compiling them into a 5 minute highlight video. It will seem daunting but you will get to figure it out I'm sure.

I don't have the technical ability to either but the below link is really all you need on Hagan. League debut and his traits are on show in first five minutes (No 32).
First 30 seconds of the game with his first league touch, gather and decision show his toughness, clean hands and thinking. However a better "highlight" perhaps is the 30 second period from 3:45 min to 4:15 min on the vid. 2 tackles, the ball/play reading and left foot snap for debut goal. Can that transition to AFL? Hmm

Hagan is a gun, he’s been the best players in this age group for a number of years now!
Rest assured him will get drafted..

Of that list of players, Smith goes ok. But who does he push out of the WA back line. He’d be completing against the likes of Gilbey, Cleaver and Gathercole.
Being PSA boys, they’d be having their names shoved under state selector for the last two years. If they were good enough they be in the side, simple as that.

If you want to talk about players that have been over looked, I’ll give you a couple of colts players:

1. Byron Finch, not just for his Ginnivan hair, a left footer, very well balance player, makes smart decisions with ball in hand and very efficient. Impact player across half forward. Dewar is a player he could replace in the state side.

2. Ryan Newick, power mid and now playing as a HF, clean at ground level, elite hand baller that can burst away from packs and defenders. Clearance type player. Cole and McDonald are players he could replace that are currently in the side.

Just my thoughts, happy to hear different opinions.
Thankyou chasingflags25 for noticing our son 🙂

Great job mate.

Great insight into the way Newick plays. A lot of power, breakaway acceleration and AFL qualities.

Is there a way to upload the video so it can be watched with a click like youtube so recruiters, scouts and commentators don't have to go through the download process? Might encourage more people to have a look.
I’ll try, file size is too large to add as an attachment

Inspired by Futbolista…

Here’s a few clips of one of my favourites from the colts this year.

Ryan Newick Subiaco No. 14
Mid/Forward

These clips are from two games in the last month, of him playing as a half forward

If people like this, I might do some more and a couple of my other favourites not on the radar of WA.

Hope that works team!
