Agree, thought one of the Peel pair of ruckman might have got in?

Yeah that's a fair point.Surprised Darcy Jones got in.....very talented player but only played 6 games?....surely reward the players like Seth Connor, Ryan Newick et al who have played more colts games at a consistently high standard this year....
Well done to the lads selected in the WAFL team of of the year.
A couple of noticeable omissions, and a couple selected without much continuity!
Rookie me central put out a team of the year today, with a couple of my favourites rewarded with a mention.
Finch with 22 goals as a small forward is a given. Adams best tall defender with Bussliner injured. Sellwood and Newick best utility’s in the comp this year. Wilson named in the positions he dominated at colts level this year.
When will you be posting your team of the year Mate? That's a good side also.
Thanks. Means a lot mate. When will you be posting your team of the year Mate?
Soon or after the finals series?
You more than anyone should have a team, no one puts the time and research that you do into WA colts talent.

Low scoring thriller was happy I made the trip to go watch it. West Perth Dominated the first half but didnt show on the scoreboard, credit to Peel for showing a-bit of fight but didn’t deserve to win played pretty poorly majority of the game yet only losing by 4 points will be good to see the bounce back hopefully this week and seek revenge against west perth pending they win this weekAnyone have any thoughts about the Peel West Perth Colts match on the weekend?
A really low quality game of football. It was close, which made for a good final for the neutral observer - but really low skill, especially when the boys weren't under pressure.Anyone have any thoughts about the Peel West Perth Colts match on the weekend?

Totally agree. Luke Micheal was the standout. Controlled that backline, Ground and air and hit his targets. Should get a opportunity at AFL level.A really low quality game of football. It was close, which made for a good final for the neutral observer - but really low skill, especially when the boys weren't under pressure.
Clear best on ground was Luke Michael (WP #7), did everything right defensively. Spoiled when he had to, took intercept marks when he had to, provided run and carry when he had to. AFL clubs rarely draft small defenders who aren't explosively quick rebounders, but if he doesn't get picked up he will be a very good WAFL league footballer for a long time (if that's the path he chooses, could make bank in the country). Always in the right spot, just doesn't do anything wrong.
Reece Torrent (PT #31) was the other standout on the ground. Was directly involved in half of Peel's scoring chains. Covers the wing so well. Great wheels, decent kick, always finds himself in a spot to have a shot.
Griff Julian (WP #12) was fantastic at the coalface, worked well off Sprigg/Farrow's ruckwork. Farrow (WP #42) was a dominant force up forward. Kane Bevan (WP #9) found a lot of the footy but struggled to find space and most of his kicks weren't to his teammates advantage or worse, direct turnovers. It's a testament to how good of a player he is at this level that he can have a bad day but still pick up 26 disposals, 6 clearances, and 8 inside 50s.
Others who impressed: Clay Hall (PT #21), Clayton Taylor (WP #30), Eli Alexander (WP #50), Scott Tuia (PT #2), Mitch Edwards (PT #37), Jackson Broadbent (PT #39) - only in the forward line, he looks lost as a ruckman at the moment. Hopefully recaptures his mojo soon.
I wonder if the exhibition game will take precedence? If it does Peel will be without Clay Hall, Mitch Edwards and Ethan Logan, while Subiaco will not have Koltyn Tholstrup.Think there were a few Peel lads who were meant to be playing the curtain raiser at the MCG, guess they will be missing that now
I fear for Peel the exhibition match may take precedence. I agree though. Prelim should take precedence. Maybe it’s up to the individual.I wonder if the exhibition game will take precedence? I think a preliminary final should take precedence. The Grand Final exhibition game is afterall, just an exhibition game.
I guess it's too late to bring in some WA replacements like Aiden O'Driscoll (P), Jack Saunders (SD), Bailey Harbour (EP) and Jacob Whan (SF)?
good...right callapparently they are playing the WAFL match
Great news.apparently they are playing the WAFL match
I’m hearing the Peels players are playing in the Preliminary Final. Tholstrup is playing the MCG GF day 17’s match.apparently they are playing the WAFL match
Those guys will get the opportunity to play state footy next year. I don't see this helping Tholstrup at all. His reputation is cemented already. But fair play to Subiaco if they are ok with this. Can't see why he would play MCG and not the Peel players. Disappointing for the Prelim final because I want to see the best players in action in a final and Subiaco already have a fair few injuries from what I can gather. Although I did see Jed Adams is out for Peel.I’m hearing the Peels players are playing in the Preliminary Final. Tholstrup is playing the MCG GF day 17’s match.
For what it’s worth, I’d be pushing the selected players to play in the 17’s game. The colts system is structured to develop AFL talent, and this game see players selected into the AIS program for next year. Both clubs should be pushing their young players to head to the MCG this weekend, play in front of 90000 people, watch the AFL GF. Once in a life time king of stuff!!!
Yep not sure with peel injury wise but Subiaco has a good amount of first team players injured majority from midfield . Mids Evitt (2004) Wills (2004) L Okeefe (2005) Chapman (2005) , defense D Odea (2005) . Hopefully all back out there next year. Those guys will get the opportunity to play state footy next year.
