Oscar Dees was best on ground in Subi's 118 point semi final demolition of South Fremantle on Sunday. Brilliant in the mids, 16 contested possessions, 6 clearances, 24 disposals and 2 goals. Provided great ball use and fantastic spread. Tholstrup, Kentfield, and Mayfield likewise fantastic.

Todays game looks like a real 2023 draft watch

Not many getting drafted from these 2 sides i wouldnt think this year and theyre in the grandfinal, which says more about the 2023 group from both sides.

The guys are really good sizes aswell plenty of 185cm+ prospects so they have the size

Peel youd think will dominate next year

The big 5
Mitch Edwards
Ethan Logan
Reece Torrent
Clay Hall
Zane Wearing

But then also guys like Matt Thomson and Noah Mills have the size and would be seen as very interesting prospects for next year

For West Perth
Eli Alxenadre
Tjad G
Kyle Wilcox one to watch all have the size

Particularly interested in how Wilcox goes

As for this years crop Broadbridge and Bevan are the most mentioned but im not sure if they go National draft or picked up at all

Julian Griffith is a guy who im really interested to see. Think he could be a chance to get picked up especially from a good game today. I liked what i saw in the national carnival then he had a big final. He has the size

Particularly excited to see how Ethan Logan goes, his past few games have been brilliant.

Just checked Tregenza Cashells DOB and knew he was older which makes it hard but with covid and also the fact hes only 2-3 weeks from being 2004 it wont surprise me if someone goes after him

you've seen these players more than i have, but if i had to do a top 10 for 2023, at this stage i would have

1. Daniel Curtin
2. Koltyn Tholstrup
3. Riley Hardeman
4. Koen Sanchez
5. Mitch Edwards
6. Clay Hall
7. Mitch Williams
8. Noah Mills - you dont have him listed at all, but he looked fantastic in the u17's internal WA game earlier in the year.
9. Luker Kentfield - looks like a taller version of Tholstrup and potential as a forward
10. Xavier Walsh - can play back or forward, potentially good KPP

im not sure on O'Dea and Livingstone

O'Driscoll was ok in a game i saw and might get looked at because his brother is playing well for Freo?

i dont know much about Saunders, Torrent and Logan, but i have seen you guys talk about them a bit.

Your rankings look good to me mate. Great dedication on your part.

Mills has potential and upside but It's difficult to rank a player (for a conservative judge like me), who averages 5 disposals per colts game and wasn't able to hold his place in the Peel side but he is a tall gangly lad who will more than likely have more co-ordination next season - so looking forward to seeing him develop.

I really put Walsh in at 24 on your recommendation. He hasn't played a colts game for EP yet so very hard to judge but he did well against the younger kids at the 16's as you say.

I'm sure there will be plenty of changes next year - late developers emerging and early developers dropping away perhaps?

Torrent BOG as under ager in the grandfinal

First time ive seen him, but his stat lines suggest he really was on the rise towards the back end of the year and all his finals games impressive.

Just whether or not hes a Jack Billings or can become something more

Classy user, moves through the contest well, smart, well built through the legs for a 17 year old. Can play anywhere on field.

Knicked the post otherwise wouldve ended with 24 and 3 goals playing half fwd

you make a good point about Noah Mills, i never looked up his numbers, maybe he is one with potential that doesnt perform to standard? it happens sometimes, i will have to keep an eye on if he progresses or not?, Xavier Walsh looked good forward in the u16's and in that WA Gold V WA Black in defence, so can play both ends, he also plays for Trinity which lost the last game to winners Scotch in the PSA with himself and de masi injured 2 of their best players i believe.

I'll put Mills in the to watch list based on what you see in him. I must admit that the WA selectors would be keen to unearth a few guys his height for the state team next year. So he might be one of those players who doesn't need to dominate but just needs to show a bit of potential to be included.

For what it’s worth. My top 10 from WA. Not as talented as the rest of you to rank at this stage. Let’s see how this ages. Will attempt to rank once season starts.

I like the Sibosado mention, I don't think he's exactly top 10 in WA yet but he's awfully close

Absolutely. I should probably have been a little clearer. These are the ones I think have the potential closer to their draft time. They aren’t necessarily all the ones who are rated as top 10 just yet. Same goes for the ones I like for 2024. Sibosado has huge upside. Not given a chance at state level just yet. Hopefully it comes.

Who’s the best key forwards from WA for next year?
I think Coen Livingstone (P) although he never got close to his colts form when playing for WA. But in his five colts games he picked up 84 disposals, 25 marks, 5 goals and 71 hit outs which is really good for a below age 197cm Fwd/Ruck. He is related to former Hawthorn player Chance Bateman and is a West Coast NGA.

Others include Eli Alexander (WP), Mitch Williams (EP), Luker Kentfield (S) are right up there.

And of course Daniel Curtin (CL) and Xavier Walsh (EP) can swing forward and back when needed while Koltyn Tholstrup (S) does often play key forward although he isn't tall.

It's also worth keeping an eye on Sam Van Rooyen (CL), Eden Gomersall (P), Noah Mills (PT), Jasper Peace (CL), Jett O'Rourke (EP) and Joe Matthews (CL) to see if they develop.

So, not a bad group.

Good group really like Coen attacks at the footy has presence and physicality
Gomersall 200cm moves so well more ruck than forward though has ability to go forward
Looking forward to his development him and Edwards to lead WA's ruck next year
Jett's a good kid needs to getter fitter though

I'm glad you are seeing what I see in Eden Gomersall. He is a great mover for someone his size.

I just want to see him get more of the ball so as to confirm initial thoughts. If he does start to accumulate more of the ball then I reckon he'll race up my WA list.
