What are your thoughts on Champion & the next Warner brother?

Also, is Ezekiel Hewett at SD the brother of Elijah?
Champion shows glimpses of brilliance but at 175cm he's going to have to be extremely dominant to make it to WA 18's next year. Is exciting with ball in hand though because he takes on traffic.

I need to see more of Warner. He looks good but is also quite short but will surely grow taller one feels.

I think Ezekiel is the brother of Elijah but so far a very different style of player. Smaller, zippy. Maybe a forward pocket specialist for now. Early days for these guys.

I wonder how many of the top 40 now will still be in the top 40 by season's end?

The 2023 list was so much easier and even though there will still be changes between now and September, there are just so many really good 2023 players to choose from. The 2024 WA is a real challenge for observers I reckon.

Might be early but do you have any names for 2025?
Nah I'm not dedicated enough to watch futures. 4 colts matches per week is enough although I did see a kid from Subiaco (Darcy Montgomery) has kicked 9 in two matches after getting All-Australian 15's last year. He would appear to be a showman. Maybe he saw some Allen Jakovich highlights. Slightly unorthodox for a futures player to be blowing kisses to the crowd.

Will again get to watch a fair bit of PSA football this year as have 2 nephews playing. Thought I would offer my thoughts on who I like for the 2024 group this year that should be the standouts for their respective schools and should be in the mix next year. These guys get limited chances to play in their colts teams this year but will get a good run at it next year. Futbolista does a great job keeping us up to date on the colts season and players so I will see how I go updating you with the PSA boys. Please feel free to let me know if you think I have missed anyone.

Watched Kayle Gerreyn and Aven Drewett destroy Trinity in a scratch match last Saturday Gerreyn marked everything all areas of the ground and provided plenty of run for a ruckman Drewett has moved from the outside to the inside had the better of Adam Demasi in the first half then had 4 clear individual centre clearances in the last quarter. Tore Nelson finding his feet was a bit quiet.
Went and looked at Perth v Swans colts scratch match after reckon Otis Harvey is going to go close for highest rated in this age group by end of next year

That's helpful mate. Please keep us updated. I reckon the players you mentioned will be in the top 40 at some stage soon.

People talk about Drewett a lot here, yet I've never seen him and Subi have never played him.......not even in the scratch matches this season. I have a picture in my mind that he is similar to his team mate Austin Chapman - small but nippy and skilful but I'm only guessing?

Exciting year ahead with many changes I'd say.

Thanks mate. If you see one of those, or anybody else who should be in the top 40....mention it and we'll slot them in low and see if they work their way up.

I asked about this on Saturday he apparently broke his finger then Wesley wouldn’t release players for scratch matches due to school basketball Nelson,Sarre, Gerreyn or Drewett weren’t allowed to play colts the week before. I also go watch a fair bit of the PSA comp so will post the names as they catch the eye.

Pretty tough for PSA boys to get many opportunities of playing pre season games, especially if they play firsts in a summer sport for their respective school. From what I hear some schools will barely release their top summer sport athletes to train or even be available for scratch matches. It is a little more flexible if they don’t play firsts. Will do some research and find out what boys fall into this category of playing firsts summer sports.

I was wondering if any of the PSA/Colts watchers could advice if any of the other listed 40/to watch are PSA? There must be some that I don't know are PSA and I don't know how to obtain PSA squad lists.
