Anyone on here follow the Peel League? Seem to hear very little about this comp nowadays.

Just wondering which teams are considered finals contenders this season, who are struggling and, with the growth in the area forecasted in the near future, which areas would be expected to form teams and the rough time frame for formation.

I note that the PFL Facebook page hasn't been updated since January 22!

Gingin defeated Goomalling by 16 points in their first match and fell short against Calingiri last week by 43 points.

Toodyay by 57 over Goomalling
Gingin by 7 over Dowerin/Wyalkatchem

Wongan/Ballidu had the bye

Toodyay and Calingiri remain unbeaten in the MFL after today, whilst Gingin give reigning premiers Dowerin/Wylie a 1-2 record after three matches.

The current ladder in the reserves is interesting - Gingin and Toodyay on 16 and the other five sides are all on 8 after four rounds.

The southern one always seemed to be in either Lake Grace or Kulin. Not sure if it still is though as I live in the city now.

Have dates been announced for the country football carnival yet?

Anyway, nice article in the Sunday Times just gone about Narrogin Hawks and the value of country footy vs AFL if you get a chance to find it it is a good read, with a few guys I went to school with getting their mugs on camera.
