What reasoning will you be using when the whole of Australia follows the pattern later in the year?

"foreigners take our jerbs"

oh wait
That's the Labor campaign

Might have called Kimberley too early as well. Another couple of booths came in and the Greens vote has gone up dramatically.

The greens vote in broome was always likely to be high due to James price point and the candidate was a well known broome local. Wouldn't have got anywhere near the same traction elsewhere in the Kimberley

yup meyronet decent idea until you scrap the stadium etc
Spot on. Bit hard to campaign on say a traditional Labor ideal like Health when 2 huge new hosiptals are under construction for example.

Election looks bloody strange from here. On all accounts 2.5% swing away from the ALP on primaries isn't a terrible result. But combined with the Greens' decimation the ALP have been destroyed. Now the Greens have a 3.5% swing away from them statewide yet a 12% swing towards them and a chance to win on first preferences in Kimberley.

Kimberley has James Price Point
Very localised issue.

Peter Watson must be doing an incredible job, is slightly ahead in Albany on a wafer thin pre-election margin. Will possibly be the ALP's only seat outside Metro Perth after tonight.

Yeah,
and light rail
and new museum
and new Scitech centre
and Roe Hwy stage 8
and waterfront

...all to develop stage one of Metronet, which is nothing about relieving congestion but just plain pork-barrelling for Ellenbrook through improved property prices.

Not sure why he didn't talk like this during the campaign..most of what he says Labor stood for in this election I never heard over the past few weeks.

Should have said this rather than "a vote for Barnett is a vote for Buswell" rubbish
