A lot is being said bout lynch and should he or shouldnt be but not much being said about how ordinary a side it is. Dont get me wrong, Id love any team to smash the Vics but this team wouldnt get within 15 goals of Victoria. Apart from Cousins Embley and Mark Williams is there any others missing?

Peter Bell should be on the ball, he's had a better year than Tyson Stenglein. Surely another forward could take his place.

I don't think this is so much a case of anyone saying Bell is better than Stenglein, but having a run with player amongst the starting midfield.

As for the Lynch debate......most Eagles fans will willingly concede he is no Fevola, Lloyd or Hall. But he is not a dud, and defences usually come thick and fast when someone suggests he is. So he hasn't kicked a ton of goals in front of our superstar midfield......even with a good side, a dud who can't play simply won't kick a lot of goals. McDougall was living proof of this. Same team, and he could barely get a kick let alone a goal....that is a dud player. At AFL level, you can talk about silver service all you like, but someone who can't play won't kick 70 odd goals in 2006, or whatever his tally is now up to this year (as well as leading the inside 50's).

Cold hard reality is, on 2007 form, Lynch is the best W.A eligible full forward, unless you switch Franklin to FF, which leaves us with no CHF. If Williams was fit, he would be a very good shot at displacing Lynch depending how the rest of team was structured.

Give it 3 years, and hopefully Clark at Brisbane and Kennedy at Carlton will change that and Ryder / Gumbleton will pressure seriously for key spots.
