Easy fix, Franklin at FF, put hunter at CHF (has played there before anyway), Dodd in Hunter's position. Easy fix. Lynch has not been that good this season, last year ok I would agree, but this year he has missed that many sitetrs it has not been funny!
I had jones as a smokey for all australian.Can't really disagree with much said in this thread TBH, Hunters had a shocker all year bar maybe the last few weeks.

So you're suggesting dropping a forward (Lynch) who has kicked 43 goals, averaging 15 disposals and is 2nd at WC for inside 50's, for a CHB (Hunter) who rarely plays forward?
Come on, what a load of crock. Hunter looks brilliant when he goes forward because he always sneaks in from the backline and doesn't have an opponent. Lynch is a much better forward than Hunter.

Lynch doesn't deserve it on this years form. That is my point, in fact neither Hunter or Lynch deserve it to be honest. 43 goals is average in a team that is coming 3rd..Pavlich has kicked more than 20 more and Freo are coming 12th..Brown has kicked more and Brisbane are 9th. 43 goals whilst SERVICEABLE is nothing more than that. But if I had to choose between Hunter and Lynch on this years form I'd go Hunter, and Franlkin would always be the key anyway. Dodd deserves it on this years form, he was injured recently.

Since Franklin WILL be the focus of that side, I see no reason why you NEED a traditional CHF. I would have Franklin at FF. Hunter has been more than servicebale up forward, can take a grab and unlike Lynch can KICK STRAIGHT! And I would always pick the side first on form, and then juggle the positions around. Lynch on form has been horrid most of the year, so why does he deserve a position..take out last week becuase it is Richmond..and he has only kicked 35 goals in more than 20 weeks!
Hahaha, he has kicked 43 goals, you can't just take out a side because "they're Richmond". You would have to do that with all the forwards in the league. How many did other forwards kick against Bowden? I'm tipping not many have kicked 7 or more.
Lynch hasn't been horrid this year. He is averaging more disposals, more marks and more I50's this year. The only thing which has let him down a little is his conversion (which may I add isn't the worst in the league).
Putting Hunter up forward in place of Lynch is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not saying Lynch is the best forward in the game, but he's better than Hunter.

Rubbish. Plenty of hack forwards out there which aren't anywhere near as good as Lynch. McDougall and Ryan Murphy are a couple of good examples.
Just give it up. Lynch is is a big crab that would simply get in Franklin's way.

Fine then take Hunter out, one or the other. Both have been just as bad as each other. I would not pick Lynch as 43 goals is not good enough for a FF/CHF in my book..in fact has a FF in the comp done less? I do not care about inside 50's as Hunter can do that anyway! Lynch's conversion rate has been shocking..it has been Richo-like FFS! And further proof he got his 7 against Bowen who has played loose most of the season..exactly it is richmond!
The point is they picked the WA state team and Lynch is the best WA player who plays at FF. Then you come in and say Hunter should be put at FF because he has kicked 14 goals and has been in better form than Lynch.
What you are saying makes no sense. They're going to put in a CHF and FF. The best two WA FF's / CHF's has been Lynch and Franklin.
Going by your logic, why don't we put Kerr at CHB? He has been in better form than Hunter this year.

Huh? I would not put Hunter at FF, i'd putr him at CHF, Franklin would be my FF! Hunter may have only kicked 14 but his conversion rate is a heck of a lot better. Hunter is versatile and can hold a key position up forward anyway so if anything you gain something from Hunter up forward- the ability to kick straight!
How do you know? Hunter kicks all his goals when he runs forward and leaves his opponent behind. Hunter is a CHB, he would get killed at CHF if he was playing on a good backman for the whole game.

He played up forward in your finals campaign and didn't do to badly may I just add! He'll be fine at CHF!
Haha, no he didn't. He played CHB the whole finals series. Hell, he even started on Hall in the GF.

2005..he went forward after halftime and did well, kicked 2 or 3 (not sure the exact number) but he did well. Last year he played on Hall

Lynch shouldnt get a game for south mandurah reserves. its a sad sad state of affairs for WA forwards when lynch is getting a state gig at full forward. if mark wiliams was fit he would be full forward and franklin would be CHF.
So we're going back to 2005 now? Mate, Lynch has improved out of sight since 2005.

Would be a walk up start for Fremantle. Would do a much better job than Tarrant.

They picked the best available WA FF. Lynch is that man. Pretty simple really.
