Then the MCG contract can be binned and going forward the Grandfinal can be in the city of the highest ranked side in the Grand Final. The way it should be done. The way it is done in other leagues like the A-League and the NRL. That way the highest ranked side gets a reward for being the highest ranked side, instead of a Victorian team being rewarded for being Victorian. The city of the highest ranked side gets to enjoy the fanfare and economic boost of a Grandfinal and the highest ranked side doesn't need to travel.

Victoria may or may not get rid of their public holiday, that's their business.

Most of all it is another step in making the league a true national competition instead of a modded Victorian one.

GF to Perth then WA to secede, effectively stealing the game forever

then invading and conquering the east, setting up Canberra in Kalgoorlie
They won't steal it. From what I read in here West Australians don't even like AFL.

PS. If it's not in Vic it needs to be in the next most neutral stadium, the Gabba.

and burn Adelaide to the ground with fire bombing sorties and use the land later on leasing it to space x for rocket launches

yeah nah..after covid we’ll just go back to the reality of it being a Victorian league with invited guests from other states blessed with holy admittance.

so you're saying "gentrify Adelaide"

No. Just level it flat for industrial use.
If the wind didn’t carry east so much you could use a small nuke.

but fire bombing and missiles aimed at the taller buildings will suffice

McGowan will have his own military force by the end of the year and annexing SA is first point of call

definitely sounds like major improvements

I'm pro building a fence around Adelaide and returning it to a bushland and pretending it never happened

SCG
nsw is doing the heavy lifting atm
and you can stillsay its at the g

as much as people like the stadium people should just look at what richmond did.

flew out to Sydney just so they could walk around and be in a state that takes the rational steps required to protect the population.

if the GF has to shift there is near 100% chance it will be played in Sydney if there are no restrictions on crowd size.

You know what, covid is gonna hamper another season, if there's another stadium that could do the Grand Final justice, it's Domain stadium. And the time difference between the eastern and western states could also work in the AFL scheduling. Common sense. What would you rather watch, an MCG filled to 50-70% capacity? Or a packed Domain? This one seems a no brainer.
I'd say MCG at 50% but thats cause Domain is ........

Vic teams get "rewarded" as you say, because without the VFL which became the AFL , you are the stinking homeless step child nobody wants or cares about.
Fact- Its at the MCG barring COVID for the next 4o years.

Just looking at a few options
1 - The Roman Collaseum built first century AD has great history well designed.
2 -Perth Stadium 21st century next generation stadium. Is an experiance in itself. .Has 100's of beverage outlets and can accomadate a near full house undercover if it rains.
3- MCG mid 20th century stadium , traditional host can pack em in very tight.
4- Maracana Stadium mid 20th century stadium record crowd of 199,500 can pack em in even tighter than the MCG .Modern health, safety and spectator comfort expectations of little relevance .

Attendance will not be a problem in Perth, even without tourists

I am sure you will get a crowd, but that's not the point. You don't deserve to even be considered for the grand final unless you look to let fully vaccinated people in from interstate.
