Why did the umpires, players and match referee allow the one dayer against Queensland to begin and wait until the 5th over to call the game off? Surely they would of inspected the pitch before the start of play.

Who's fault do you think it lies with? I think that it's not the curators fault, but because of the hot weather experienced in Perth on Tuesday and Wednesday that opened up the cracks.

And what outcome do you think it most fairest? Giving both sides say 2 points or rescheduling it - and at the WACA or GABBA?

the waca has always seemed to have pitch probs of late, and I think alot of it has to do with the extreme weather we get, but I also think the waca's insistence on having a multi-purpose venue, and trying to use it for as many sports as they possibly can contributes to the problem.

A number of the tests here have turned into 3 day fiascos because of the appalling state of the pitch, so I certainly hope they get their sh*t togteher for this year.

cheers.
