Nothing wrong with the pitch.
Just confirms that all these flat track bullies who have paraded as stars for the last 15 years are actually not quite as good as people think they are.

Many batsman over the last 15 years have an extra average of 10 because they have played on such batting paradises.

All of them have no idea when the ball moves. Not their fault as they don't play on good cricket wickets. They are raised on highways.

now that the test didnt go half way, I think i would have preferred a little less grass - just so that the test would go to 4. But then, thats completly in hindsight knowing that India would fold for 160 twice.
The grass had almost zero impact on the match. there was no extravagant movement off the seam, apart from when the ball lobbed on a crack. and those cracks would have been far bigger and more numerous without the grass.

About the only advantage the grass on the pitch gave the bowlers was that it kept the ball new for longer so the new ball swing was maintained.
