Need to get a few games into emac beforr the last 3 weeks. Maybe we drop/rest schofield next week for emac.
nah love the fact our 3 key defenders are gun kicks and Simmo probably does too . Emac isn't I'm afraid . but with Gov and schoey injury history Emac will geta run

Sheed and Duggan pretty quiet and Nelson was only serviceable, but some of the other guys had really good games. MacKenzie and Adamson clearly the best, Karpany's in some good form, Partington had one of his best games at WAFL level and Lamb worked as hard as I've seen. Three goals from Giles in those conditions is a great return.

Needs to work on his kicking . Some terrible tumble punts and mongrels .
Very good signs though with his ball winning
When it was dry he was hit ting up targets fine. Once it got wet and sloppy inside he was just trying to get it forward. Won plenty of clearances with his big frame and handdballed to guys in space to get it forward. Worth a punt at AFL level IMO.

COREY ADAMSON - 33 disposals, 6 marks, 1 tackle, 3 i50s, 1.0

Along with Easy, Giles and Malcolm, our best on. Dominated the clearances and used the ball well when it was dry. Got it on the boot quickly and played smart wet weather footy later on. Well in lad.

MATT ALLEN - 10 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles, 1 i50, 0.1

Presented well all game and tackled hard in the last, one was especially important to halt a West Perth move forward. Contributed in conditions not suited to the big boys.

JAMIE BENNELL - 13 disposals, 5 marks, 1 tackle, 1 i50

Played a handy role today, including a sexy kick in the last to Tunbridge, but seems to be on the chopping block at the end of the year.

PADDY BROPHY - 12 disposals, 1 mark, 2 tackles

Made some errors by both hand and foot today. Improved as the match went on but not much of a showing.

LIAM DUGGAN - 11 disposals, 4 tackles, 2 i50s, 1.1

Clean as whenever he had it, but didn't have it enough. Needs to do more to win his spot back.

JON GILES - 14 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 30 HOs, 2 i50s, 3.1

The matchwinner for the Royals with a huge quarter. Marked strongly, kicked well, dominated in the ruck as the match progressed. Should be very pleased with his showing.

MALCOLM KARPANY - 19 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 1 i50, 1.0

So clean and evasive. Went out of it a bit in the last quarter but, when the game was there to be won, he performed very strongly. Has turned the corner and deserves another year at least.

TOM LAMB - 18 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 1 HO, 2 i50s

Not sure what his role is, to be honest. Chased the ball around a lot and kicked it away blindly, not too bad in the wet I suppose, but lacked a presence in the air like Giles had even in the conditions. Doesn't chase hard enough. Stats look better than he played.

ERIC MACKENZIE - 20 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles

A defensive wall today. Stopped many West Perth attacks in their tracks especially when the conditions were good. Surprisingly good with his ball use in the conditions too.

KURT MUTIMER - 14 disposals, 1 mark, 4 tackles, 3 i50s

Couldn't fault his endeavour today. Made some errors, but pressured well and got amongst it. Duggan, take note.

JACKSON NELSON - 17 disposals, 3 marks, 5 tackles, 2 i50s

When the rain turned on, so did Nelson. Started slowly with a hit to the chops, but was amongst our best when the game was on the line. Very clean, good decison maker and was tough in the clinches. A better match than his stats show.

LUKE PARTINGTON - 20 disposals, 4 marks, 1 tackle, 3 i50s, 0.1

Not bad for a skinny young thing, throwing himself in all match and taking part in some exciting one on ones with more experienced players. Still not convinced about him but couldn't fault his heart in the conditions.

DOM SHEED - 10 disposals, 1 tackle, 1 i50

Played mainly up forward, but had no impact. Good to have another game into him.

SIMON TUNBRIDGE - 16 disposals, 7 marks, 1 tackle, 2 i50s, 2.1

Played well in the conditions. Tough body helps. Did well to finish with two goals and had a hand in several others.

Get around the lad.
