I watched an old game between Freo and Geelong today (Broughton was still playing). I think it may have been one of Fyfe's first games but Palmer was the sub. If ever you get a bit down on some young players form this was a good reminder that you must give them time. Fyfe was pretty hopeless and didn't give any indication of the player he would become. There is hope yet for most of our kids based on this....and Karpany's apparent form as he looked well off the AFL pace despite being on the list for a while.

Karps has been played out of position. this time last year i saw a few ep games and him and newman were both doing well and both were playing in the wing/midfield. Hopefully we can turn him into something. We need some pressure for the likes of lecras, hill and jetta.

Why would you be watching an old, old freo game? For heaven's sake, life is hard enough as it is.

Yes their salary Iis kept out of our Total Player Payments until they are upgraded . I would assume Adamson is on 150k+ as we lured him away from another sport and we would have to have that room in our TPP to upgrade . It may also limit funds set aside to roll over to next yyear's cap with the new rules
He was in the minors, he would have been getting paid bugger all. Doubt he's on much more than a standard rookie wage.

Anyone who watched the game think Sheed looked fit enough to come in next week ? Or another week in the wafl for Dom ?
He's had 3 games back, the last two in heavy conditions so I'd say he's ready

Maybe one more week in the WAFL but EP have a bye the following week so he'll be back in the seniors by then

You'd think that but I thought I read a report that it was $500K plus, in the minors. I agree, I reckon he's on bugger all because he made the decision he wanted to come home rather than stay in the US, so finance won't be the determining factor, I don't reckon.

I'm torn on the way all the Eagle guys played yesterday. I'm concerned about the performance of Duggan & Sheed, the two guys we all desperately want in the midfield, but then I'm also pleasantly satisfied with the way guys like Karpany and Adamson stood up whilst those two went missing.

Then there is E-Mac, how do we fit him back in at the moment? Paul Hazelby went there in the commentary yesterday, suggesting he might be a bloke on the trade block...

While Barrass is playing well, emac will have to do his wafl time. Simpson probably has one eye on the future too. I'd prefer to lose emac than barrass.

Karpany finally showing what he can do. Looks to be coming of age. Looks more comfortable and has a bit of arrogance now. Hopefully that continues.

Adamson is a beast and playing some good footy. The conditions suited him yesterday. Interesting to see where he ends up next year on our list.

Sheed copped a pretty hard tag. No concern, was still a class above most when he did touch it.

Duggan is a little concerning. Still attacked the ball hard. Was rather instrumental in east perths run in the 3rd quater. Just hasn't been finding it often enough.

Think Duggan has lost a bit of confidence since coming back from his knee injury last year. Give him time and he'll come good, hopefully sooner rather than later!
