Plenty of improvement in him but he racks up the footy. Much like Tommy Mitchell at the Swans. Bloke could add a hell of a lot more than guys like Hutchings.

Hutchings chops up the WAFL as well, it isn't as though Nelson is a superior player. He definitely isn't, in fact.

Nelson covers the ground. When on ball, rarely misses a stoppage. Quite dissimilar to Hutchings.
Further, Nelson actually just draws the footy to him, absolute magnet and something we clearly miss. Hutchings - he does not, never been a huge accumulator in the WAFL.

e: Heck I've seen Jetta be unable to keep up with Nelson today, when he spreads from contest. Unsure if that says more about Jetta than it does about Nelson though, lol

Fantastic bloke - but given some of his interviews during the breaks in games on TV, you question whether he has a tactical bone in his body.

They should've installed a tactical bone instead of a titanium one all those years ago.

We had 14 in the seniors. I'd suspect the alignment agreement doesn't allow us to have any more than that.

Mmmm bit of a worry having 4 in the ressies I would think. It's a big step up from WAFL to AFL let alone ressies (having played ressies myself)

We've had 13 or 14 in the seniors most weeks and I expect that's about the limit under the alignment agreement.

Karpany seemed pretty good, finishing with 16 disposals, 7 marks, 3 tackles and a goal. Hope it's a sign of things to come!

Going by stats it appears so, Nelson finished with 27 disposals (including 17 kicks), 7 tackles and a mark.
