Many reasons, but sponsors the biggest one for sure.

I'd LOVE to see my beloved Central District take on other clubs from other state leagues and have a crack at winning the title but at the same time I'd also much rather they put 100% focus on winning a 10th flag in 12 years if they are good enough.

Nah, gives us more chance to win without Centrals there!

Could be a different Centrals this year though couldn't it Thunder? The Gowan brothers retiring, did I hear? How much Callinan plays at Adelaide?

Gowans boys are far as I know as going around next year. Though they are a bit slow these days...Callinan will prob play 80% of his games with the crows which will really hurt although we should gain Chad O'Sullivan back who we missed all season. But generally the Central of 2010 and 2011 are SIGNIFICANTLY weaker than the Central of 2003, 2004, 2005 when all the best players were at their footballing peaks. If they played the National Comp then I'd have no doubt they'd win it. But now they prob wouldn't...they only ever seem to play well in finals these days (nothing wrong with that mind you!)
